Good choice.. You don't need to shut the door before you release the gas knob. It's easier to wait 15 - 20 seconds then release the knob and then shut the door. You'll have to clean the coupler 1x a year or It won't stay lit. Easy to do. Also, try not to cut the chimney pipe as the length was specifically designed to max heat. It also works better if you run a 2ndary fan to help circulate the heat it might help with distributing heat as unit is high up.. I almost purchased the 9000 but spent the extra $ 300 for the 12000 which provides more heat. Great ambiance too!! However, if you live in really cold weather, the chinese heaters pump out alot more heat at a fraction of the cost.
just a tip, just make sure your roof fan(from the camper) is not working when you lite the stove because it makes a draft and sometimes it kill the flame, whenit burn for few minutes you can turn your fan back on...just something i found with my set-up.I noticed some minor water leaks coming from the chimney when im on the road and its raining like crazy...IT WAS RAINING LIKE A TROPICAL RAIN so i think water got in...its happened only one time...did you ever noticed something similar with yours?
The only person I seen use a rubber grommet yet smart man

@@229Reaper yes, the rear one we do not run but the front one is fine
@@229Reaper no water yet either. Crossing our fingers. I went overkill with the caulk sealer
How does the heater do for eliminating moisture inside the camper?
We have a dehumidifier that we use that works well. I haven’t actually run it without it. I will give it a try on our next trip and let you know.
Up dates on the moisture, should be none if it's vented
