@@zijadzikedzehovic6206 just started it last week and it's awesome, i mean yeah i don't feel the same running around washington i's not the same atmosphere and even the dlc donn't bring back TD1 vibes but i think they did a better job making it future proof with their lvl up system and gear, way more than TD1. TD1 is nostalgia and discovery of a universe, same problem as Destiny got with Destiny 2. You can"t create the same feelings twice.
Started on December 2016, nearly 6000hrs. In game (I haven't played any other game for so long), and I still see players that have played since the Beta. I play on PC, and most nights it gets busy (full servers) during the day it fluctuates. Ubisoft, if you're reading this, please give us the chance to play the first wave, so We can experience what happened then, and also, We can go back to N.Y. In winter.
The Division by Massive Entertainment is a masterpiece. It's highly underrated and way better than many other AAA titles. Gamers will remember this game for decades to come. The soundtrack genuinely immerses you into a post-apocalyptic world.
I think it's kind of on its own rails 🤔 Of course it will be a bestseller for Ubisoft but masterpiece...no. It had never been in a history that MMO called a masterpiece because if you play along it's boring AF.
The "Prologue" track from both games has a very different sound that fits both games Division 1's version is more punchy, has bigger drums. It sounds threatening, forboding. The bass guitar in the latter part especially. And it makes sense as in the game, the outbreak has just begun, none of the agents really know what they're up against. And the fact your agent on the login screen is standing in a pitch black street highlights how your "heading into the darkness" Division 2's version is lighter, more ethereal. Which fits D.C as the original outbreak is pretty much over and the city is so quiet and still compared to New York. So the threatening aura is gone and replaced with just...emptiness. With a vague hopeful sound that appears in both games soundtracks Ola Strandh, you know your shit
I feel your comment.. the first game gave the feeling of hope. The smallest grain of it. The second was the dream state.. powerful, full of control but, in a wishful way. Long Live The Division Story!!
Seriously? It's a game, an object, non-living thing, therefore it's IT, not her or him, IT. What's next? Non-living things and objects will get unique pronounces as well?
One of the best soundtracks I've ever heard, period. It evokes the mystery, the loneliness, the menace, the technology, the heroism, everything the game represents.
Well said, couldn't agree more. I love listening to video game soundtracks in general but the Division series soundtracks are a mainstay for me - I listen to them all of the time. Lately I've been enjoying the Countdown soundtrack from Div2.
Man I miss this game back when it was fresh. Put over 150 hours in and wish I stuck at it. I completed all the content at the time and never came back for the release of the expansions, regret it.
I’m not sure if this is in TD2 but in TD the fact that the npcs thank you for doing the missions after finishing the game was my favorite immersive detail. It gave you the feeling that you actually did something.
There are still a lot of players in-game these days. I only just discovered the game in June of this year and have been playing it religiously. That being said I always see players in the Dark Zone or in the Tactical Ops Center and routinely get pinged for Underground playthroughs by other players.
It's a bit frustrating for sure. Division 1's atmosphere and story-telling are superior to that of Division 2's, in my opinion. However Division 2 is a better game from a mechanics/progression systems standpoint. In other words Division 2 has all of the QOL improvements and fine-tuning that Division 1 lacked. That being said I wish we could just have a marriage of the two: a game with the dark and savage elements found in the first title with the modern improvements found in the second title.
never played this but I do play div 2 and both it and this have some ofe the best soundtracks among the likes of halo itself! LOVE game OST its the best music for sure
Really Good soundtrack, I missed playing this game, just sucks how ubi fcks this game up after few months of its release (both div 1 and 2) just because they aren't milking enough money.
Alright, im not a writer nor do i pretend to be one. I have an idea, an epiphany of a thought for a spin off. I know that usually is followed by utter garbage but hear me out. I reckon there is a few fans of both the ghost recon and the division universes, im not sure they are from the same universe or separate but regardless imagine a scenario where there was a small unit of ghosts operating clandestinely in a foreign country when the dollar flu, i.e the Amherst virus breaks out in the United states. All hell breaks loose in the states thus locking down all ports of entries and exits, leaving the small outfit of ghosts stranded and disavowed. Literally ghosts in a dying world. They begin to see the effects of the fallout in north america all over the world and have to fight through similar circumstances to reach homeland. And when they do they meet a cell of division agents and they fight side by side...
2,476 hours in game and this soundtrack never got old.
Still better then 2 nd. Wish they continued creating content for the first ge.

The precinct siege music is what does it for me. In both games the moment you hear that intro you know you’re about to fight a boss.
wasted 2476 hours for zero gains. Good job.
best game to play during winter break. This game was GOLD while covid, almost seemed like real life 😂
I told my daughters the game was called NYC Covid Simulator 2020.

Perhaps the best game soundtrack ever created. And the official soundtrack doesn't even include all the tracks played in the game.
all this amazing soundtrack getting me "freedom fighters" game vibes
yeah, the music cooperates with the lore, the division is the last stand, the last defenders type people and the music reflects on that.
Ferro is basically sped up batman theme.
