Most people hated AC3 for no good reason. It is, for some reason, considered the worse in the series by many.
Absolutely! The only problem with AC3 is being the follow up to the revolution that was AC2 and ACB. It bares the burden of trying to outstand those classics. Both games are diferent and great. We saw in Revelations that Ezio's story had to come to an end, risking the character would wear off. You can't keep milkng the cow. The beauty of the AC series is in variety. Each time different, each setting a new type of gameplay.
I thought it was overrated, don't get me wrong, I loved this game and played this shit out of it, that's probably why I don't like it I guess, I overplayed it

Really? I never had any bugs. Gameplay was great, not stuck fighting one guy at a time anymore.
And sure Conner was dry as Mona Lisa's face but he was intended to be. Their voice actor for him was... too good at it. Haytham my god, was fantastic.
I think AC 3 didn't get that popular at first because it came right after the intense and amazing Ezio's story. BUT, AC 3 is amazing if you look at it individually. The sad story off Connor himself was a very interesting journey. The conflict between his pure heart and the anger of revenge is amazing. Also the Father-son story with charming haytham as his dad. Very engaging. I didn't think of it much when it 1st came out. But right this very moment I am installing it to truly experience it again after all these years!

Matt Latessa I really am a die hard Assassin's Creed fan. The soundtracks are always amazing. Character personalities are all very different but their motives are very similar. Modern day game play was non-existent in Unity besides the briefings with Shaun & whoever that girl was.

Connor really is a grand hero. I listen to the main theme and I instantly think of all the incredible things he did throughout the game. Captain of the Aquilla, the Battle of the Chesapeake, the Battle of Bunker Hill, his (attempted) execution, building strong relationships with his fellow Homesteaders, tackling the Templar plot in the colonies, freeing the colonies from British control, leading the Battle of Lexington and Concord... and people have the nerve to say he's a bland character.
Almost all by himself... Shay screwed the entire colonial order.
When I saw Connor charging the whole Brit invasion army in the trailer, I knew this was going to be some serious American Revolution, hero, Assassin business. He's not bland: he's got that Native American gravitas that he puts on over his emotions - every time he talked to his father the emotion was there in the voice.
Connor wasn't really a grand hero, he killed templars that weren't even doing anything wrong. they were innocent. But then again he fixed the colonial brotherhood at the end of his life.

I've played AC from 1 to 4 and I think that the best soundtrack is AC2. However, AC3 and AC:BH are also freakin' epic!
Connor is my favourite Assassin. People complain because he isn't your stereotypical AC hero, but he's not supposed to be. His characterization is brilliant for a native american during that time period. My favourite scene from the game was when he tells Haytham and Washington that he'd kill them if they follow him. He was mostly calm but highly devoted to his people, he was a stoic and he only raised his voice when it was absolutely necessary. Those moments always felt special.
I agree. He has his own kind of charisma, and I for one liked him for his historical accuracy. I never understood why people called him a boring character. He really wasn't. From his lineage, the way he went about taking care of business, and his connection to the Templars, it was all perfect. A half breed, a warrior, a protector, defender of the weak, he was way more than just another assassin. I will never understand the hate towards Connor.
Love listening to "Connor's Life". I listen to it and I basically recap all of his story in my head, and I get very emotional.

Connor worked with the new American forces (Washington, Putnam etc.) because he believed that once he helped the Patriots get rid of the British his people would be freed. I don't know if you even played the game, but Connor saved his land only for his people to go to the west. He was betrayed in a way. You are probably short sighted because of what 'real' fans have said on this game. A real fan doesn't try to pin out the wrongs *only* but appreciate the game for it's good and bad parts, and give the other fans a chance to have their own _opinion_. You might find this game wrong for certain reasons and I have nothing against that if you explain it in a logical and reasonable way. Saying that Connor didn't fight for his own people's liberty is simply, downright stupid. Good day.

After playing all of them, the Ezio trilogy is still my favorite. But AC 3 is even more interesting after having played AC Rogue.

Idk if it’s me but I’ve notice that every assassin we play as these great heroes always lose loved ones or almost lose everything they’ve had or built for... it’s truly sad but shows how strong and courages they are because even after they lost those who they love they become stronger and fight harder.. like Connor for example all he’s been through is just sadness and depression state, he lost everything he fought for..his home..his tribe..his mother... then having to kill his own father.. right after bonding with him..has to put him down..Connor is truly one of the greatest assassin in the AC Universe because even after that he stayed strong throughout his whole life.

AC3 was my introduction to the world of AC in 2017, by complete chance and only thanks to a friend's recommendation. Since then I've played all the games, gotten heavily invested in the story and it's become my absolute favorite franchise of all time. And man, AC3's soundtrack remains my favorite overall.
Through the Frontier (13:59), Fight Club (40:40) and Homestead (25:26) are the best tracks. Gotta love that violin/fiddle.
All these people complaining about Connor and saying he's "whiny", but does he have any reason to be happy? Not one moment in his story is positive, so think about that before you say anything about Connor, and realise that Connor is one of the most realistic AC characters.

this song just perfectly sums up Connor kenway. the beginning is just the simple life he had then tragedy strikes and the main part starts it just represents how much anguish and anger he has experienced , and he's just trying to run from it but it's always gonna be there. and the rest is just him making his place in the world and fixing everything, trying to prosper but he has to face tough and difficult obstacles but he will always rise up

Connor merece otro juego, pero igual esto es una obra maestra, en mi opinión es el mejor Assassin's Creed, estás melodías te hacen sentir libre, y sentir la motivación de Connor al luchar tanto por la libertad de muchos, la de su pueblo, sintiendo tanto la agonía cómo el sufrimiento de no haber podido cumplir con su meta, reconstruyendo nuevamente la hermandad a la que ya se consideraba acabada, pero el llegó nuevamente a reconstruirla, sentir la traición a las personas que le tenía un poco de fe, tener que matar a su padre cuando el no quería, sintiéndose solo de nuevo, sentir las aventuras que tuvo en su Aquila hay muchas cosas grandiosas de Connor y estas son pocas las que dije ❤️

The aggression that builds up together with the emotional part is perfectly balanced in my opinion.
I was so hyped for this to come out. There were SO MANY new things added;
Like the huge open map lands where you could hunt and conquer those holds from the redcoats
(those were my favorite because it required so much stealth hehe), CLIMBING TREES BRUH, his bow,
seasons changing, traveling on a horse through the city, interactions with animals, building a boat,
traveling overseas to do other missions, trading raw materials, little games that you could play (which I still don't understand lol)
Don't get me started on how fluid the parkour and fighting was compared to the previous games (you all know the fk struggle xD)
and those nice combos of fighting and taking out 2 guards at the same time. I mean, I can go on for a while.
Also the storyline of how Connor was created from two different human backgrounds that became each other's enemies.
HOW INTERNALLY STRUGGLING MUST HE HAVE BEEN. His father seems to be the good guy but
then also the bad guy, but then also his father and the good guy but still not really YOU GET WHAT I MEAN.
And the integration of Connor using his nature skills to integrate into the city life,
just those two completely different worlds merged into a person was so interesting for me to play and experience.
His outfit was the fucking best I tell you it's amazing.
A little bit of fangirling over here,
BUT it's just so amazing and comparing games just doesn't work for me but if I have to;
AC2 just has me emotionally more attached and was (for that time back then) fucking amazing (still is of course)
AC3 gave me an overall more pleasant gaming experience and I felt like they gave me more options to creatively achieve the goal.
I'm so fk grateful that they made these games
THANK YOU SO MUCH EVERYONE you don't know how much these games mean to me
But trust me when I say I love them all in their own way

That is the game that got me into the series. After playing it I bought all the previous games and played them all, until I got to ac3 again and played it again! reaching 100% for the second time. good times.
