Thank you, Joanne, for your immense contributions to the knitting community! You've inspired me and given me the confidence to cast on my first lace project :)
What a fantastic video! It was so extremely helpful to see it done from start to finish! I appreciate you explaining the steps along the way as well as your tips and tricks. Your kind and warm personality makes this a joy to watch and learn from. Thank you for making this!
What a beautiful stitch I bet my mum would love it if I knit her a scarf cardigan hat or head band with this stitch but I’m going to do it only with a multiple of 11 stitches
Dear lady, thank you so much for your beautiful helpful videos! I have learnt a lot from your instruction! I wish you all the best, health and happiness!
This stitch would be so lovely I. A little girls cardigan. Wish there was a pattern for it. Very nice demo. I never thought I could dolave stitch like that.
Thanks for the lessons. I learn so much from you. You are one of the best (if not the best) teacher I have seen. I have in my past taken lots of classes and I enjoy your videos most of all. Thank you for all your hard work.🙂 Sally
I love the way its been taught.. very easy to understand and this is a beautiful pattern :) I have been following your videos for a few months now. Have tried a couple of patterns and learnt knitting to the next level seeing your videos. Thanks a lot for the amazing videos. Anusha
Yes. It will look nice for a scarf, just make sure you make at least 6 rows of garter or seed stitch at the beginning and about 4 stitches on the sides.
I will start a cowl with this. Use circular needles and around 121 stitches for a small one. (Multiple of 11) Of course, all the purl rows on the wrong side (even number rows) would have to be knitted because you're not turning your work. ua-cam.com/video/ZwLlc3PVxYc/v-deo.html
Hi Joannes, I tried this pattern for a scarf...The pattern looks great except the scarf is curled up one the both side of the edge...You didn't mention on the video about the curling edge, now I don't know how to fix it? do you have any suggestions? Thanks!
hey I'm following the instructions with the multiples of 11 and 2 at the end of the multiples of 11. However, I end up not completely the row as instructed on the written pattern?
I'm starting to knit again after over 35 years! I would like to make a scarf from pattern (Heart Knitting Pattern How to Knit Hearts) Does this pattern curl? If so, can you suggest a border to add on sides and bottom? Thank you!
Yes, Phillis, it does curl. You need to make about 4 or 5 stitches on the edges of garter or seed stitch. Also at the beginning and at the end. Every time you have knit on one side and purl on the other, it will curl. Purl stitches tend to be tighter.
For all looking for this pattern in written format look up Lace Hearts, Pleasant Seas. It's a different Video but its the same pattern design. Here on UA-cam.
How do I correct kniitting problems with this pattern, I have tried and tried to knit, I get to 11 and then I make a mistake and the it does not add up to 35 stiches. Help
Go back to a row you know it's ok. I always recommend people to use a lifeline and keep moving it every now and then. ua-cam.com/video/Kn1hXpiuXNw/v-deo.html

Row 1 at 1:14
Row 2 (and all Even lines) @ 3:15
Row 3, 4:45
Row 5, 7:20
Row 9: 12:07
Gorgeous stitch, but how can I knit it in round?
You repeat the stitches between the * and knit all even number rows, instead pf purl.

Yes, you can crochet an edge around. or you can pick up stitches with a circular needle and knit 4 rows of garter or seed stitch.
OK, Thx!
I knitted a seed st. Boarder at bottom, top and sides of my blanket as I went along.
Thank you so much

@@JoannesWeb Thank you!!
Un saludo desde Arica Chile por favor podría hacer los tutoriales en español.
i would like to make this onto a wall hanging. i see the bottom looks rolled. what boarder would you recommend using?
You can knit 4 to 6 rows of Garter or of Seed stitch. On the sides, knit at least 4 stitches. It would prevent rolling.

When I go back to a good row, then it is hard, since there are big knits in the row, and then I have to start over again. Thank you
CAN I GET THE PATTERN

Can this stitch be used for a hat using circular needles?
Yes, but you need to be aware that you need to knit the stitches rather than purl on even number rows.
What does the pattern inside the ( ) mean please? Xx
Slide 2, knit 1, pass the 2 slid stitches over. Please watch the video.
@@JoannesWeb I know that, but why is it in brackets?? I watched the film through to the end and it didn't explain it.
@@loramorgan-ridsdale2180 Because it's one stitch with multiple moves.
