Tom, if you integrate this list into the video description, youtube will create chapters automatically. 😃
Just put in the time stamps. Great idea. Need to do it for the rest of them. Thanks again.

My tan Wurly was the first keyboard I ever bought about 1973. I still remember playing the intro to "Joy To the World" live with my first band when it was a hit. Wow. Hearing that audience react to those notes gave me chills and I almost stopped playing. Never get tired of playing it. I've played most of those tunes, great trip man!
Even the ones that were originally played with a Rhodes still sound pretty good on the Wurly. It’s funny, I used to like the sound of the Rhodes better, but as I’ve gotten older, I gravitate towards the Wurly.
I feel the same way.
I’ve had the same experience. I loved the clean chimey sound of the Rhodes, but as I’ve gotten older I’ve come to vastly prefer the grainy texture of the Wurly sound
@@andrewnibbi Yeah, and none of the Wurly emulations quite capture that "dirty" sound.
@@davebartholome2924 keyscape vst gives it a bloody good go!
@@edunabie Thanks for the tip. I'll have to check it out.
Those pieces of music you played made me realize how much music theory the composers of those songs must have know. They used quite complicated harmonic progressions here and there, which sounds fabulous and impressive. You inspired me to study some too.
Wow all the Stevie Wonders sound just like the vinyl! Rosalinda's Eyes is killer
AGREED!!!!Good ole’ Billy

Next round.
Impeccable taste
Gotta love the wurley!
Agreed!
I have watched this so many times, love it.
Thanks
Love the sound of the electric piano. Wish they would use them today. So many great songs from the past!
The intro to "You never done it like that" from The Captain and Tenille is very cool.
I love the Styx song !
Well that was fun!!!
....ahhhhh......I loved the Wurly so much. So many great tunes were done with that. I particularly enjoyed the Supertramp as they really used it a lot with some great tunes. Although These Eyes, Ride Captain Ride and Steely Dan.....oh my......these were truly some great tunes too.
Fun with a Wurli!
I spend years trying to get the timing for the end of the "what I say" lick, You nailed it.!
Thanks. It all takes time
Love it man, thank you!
Love this! Thanks.
Thoroughly enjoyed!
Love this!!
This is all simply fantastic.
Glorious tunes. Well played
Loved that!
I've been drumming along to almost all of them on the desk!! Sounds great!
Always loved the sound of the Wurly. Thanks for putting all these songs together. So hypnotic.
Wonderful!
Yes!!! Steely Dan Pretzel Logic.
Donald Fagen has just…..got it 😎
I’m definitely going to save this one. Makes my day.
This was really amazing. So many greats from that one instrument.
Nicely done. Takes me back.
That was terrific! Lots of fun to remember all of these great songs. Well done!
So great. Thanks
that warm and cosy sound, I love it!
Awesome and in 1 take what a pro. Love the Steely Dan ones
Loved it ….Thank you.
Played Name that tune and got 18, only because some names were lost to the haze of the 70's.All familiar tunes. Good job! Ride Captain Ride!
So very good. Thank you
Fantastic job on that Wurli, and the selection was a great time capsule😎
Super awesome!
Excellent keep em coming
I really enjoyed this man thanks.
wow, thanks for sharing
Now I discovered great songs, thank you!!!
Hey that was a lot of fun. That instrument (Rhodes included) is intrinsically connected to so many awesome tunes. And while this one isn’t really my bag, Just the Way You Are certainly has that iconic Rhodes + Phase 90 (I think). Anyway, kudos!
Great video! Love these songs
Fantastic selection. Inspiring
In 25 years, such a video about today's music will be virtually impossible.
I don't think I need to spell out why.
I get where you're coming from. So glad I grew up when I did.
Not at all. He’s chosen songs from a span of several decades.
Great feel!
One of my favorites is Blinded by the Light.
I may put that in the next round.
This is awesome! Great work and thanks for sharing this! Bravo!
Just The Way You Are / Billy Joel
Excellent!
Loved it, brought many smiles. What a musician. Thank you.
Very beautiful, i like.
Listening to this reminds me that I am but an intermediate player. You are an excellent , advanced player. Well done sir! You should be teaching. I would be proud to have you as my teacher.
great job! 👏🏼
I saw the title of this video and the first song I thought of was I am The Walrus. Not disappointed... then I heard Babe as I was typing this comment and my soul is full. My two favourite bands. Thank you for sharing this, you play brilliantly.
Superbly done Thomas. Gave me some great ideas and really took me back. Nice job !
Perfect! love it!
Thanks
So good! Great playing man!
Sounds great!
Nice to hear these. Great job. Thanks!!!
Very cool 👍
The sound of my life. The usung hero instrument of the great songs in the lives of us later boomers. Beautiful job!
Very nice. Great playing. Thsnks for sharing.
I appreciate what you do. Your hard work in preparation is greatly appreciated. Takes me back….. and forth….. and back….
very nice playing and great song picking
The first Queen!
nice. brings back memories of better music times and at the same time reminds me how bad today’s music is. I grew up listening to 60’s, 70’s, 80’s & early 90’s before I cut out and stopped listening cause nothing new was happening. gangsta rap was the big thing and I was too old for that. I consider that period in American music to be unmatched by anything before or since except if you want to throw in the 50’s and big band music and jazz of earlier decades. and now, sadly, I consider great music to be over and done with. I can’t believe Hip Hop has been around 40 years now and no new genre has been invented in all that time. being born in 1960 I got to listen to so much good stuff.
And I was born in 59 and feel so grateful for the music I grew up with.
Last days nothing will change. You know what happened to RnB once Caucasians got their hands on it the genre starts to die out the same will happen to hip hop now. So be grateful that hip hop is dying out now.
That was pretty cool!😎👍
Awesome!!
very cool, thanks for sharing
That's nice, thank you.
This Hanson brother has some CHOPS!! Nicely done.
Great
Thanks Tom, you are very good!
Thanks so much for doing all of these intros on the Wurlitzer. Sounds great! And I really appreciate that you included a list of all the songs that you played interest for. So often I hear a song demonstrated on a piano or keyboard and they don’t say what the name of this song is and I can’t remember it. Same with all of your piano intros. Love them
“All I have is a Wurlitzer” 😃 this is my favorite video of yours! Awesome song selections!
LOVE IT____
mind blown
You’re incredible. The Wurlitzer is my favorite instrument.
Mine too. Suck eggs, Mr Rhodes. 🤣
Nicely done! Enjoyed this video an awful lot. Great list of songs!
Awesome playing dude, sounds great!
Wow Tom that was awesome🎵
Great performance and rhythmic feel!
Did you learn these all by ear?
Breese Learning would like to thank you for this very well performed demonstration! Muchas gracias!
Dancin' in the Moonlight, fantastic...
Super job! Dead on!
Very nice
Brilliant. One day I will own an electric piano. That Wurli sounds magnificent and you really rock that machine. Thanks for taking the time and effort.
So refreshing to see someone praising the time and effort and not just calling him crazy talented.
Thanks for sharing! My son started a band about a year ago, he plays piano/keyboards . He's going to be 25 and they play the classics...I'll share this with him!
Yes the classics. Hard to beat.
Great video and a great idea. The Wurly just doesn't get enough credit. The electric piano that Jimmy Greenspoon used for the original 1971 studio recording of Joy To The World was actually a Hohner Pianet T. It absolutely DID have a very similar sound to the famous Wurly 200 especially when you played it hard and loud. You could get those cool distortions and overtones like what you hear Ian Mclagan playing on Stay With Me by Rod Stewart --- which was a Wurly.
Super cool! Sounds great. Wurlys are my jam🤙🏼
Hammer hits
Fantastic!! d:-)b I sooo love the mellow jazzy sound of the Wurlitzer EP
Great Playing!
Joy to th world 😍
So nice to stumble across this trip down memory lane.
A great pickup of many keyboard classics....
