I was literally about to post essentially the EXACT same thing. Got a little love for Chris Jones, too. Can also run the fake or make the hardcore tackle. We're gonna miss you, 'Punt-isher'....
Forgot one of the best all time. 1972 Larry Seiple, Miami Dolphins against Pittsburgh in a playoff game. Seiple ran 37 yards keeping the drive alive. The Dolphins went on to win, go to the Super Bowl and finish their perfect 17-0 season.
And no one called the play. Seiple saw the opening and took off instead of punting. I was rooting for Pittsburgh to break Miami's streak, but when he did that it changed everything.
Kickers/punters are very crucial and underrated positions in football, and they unfortunately don't get the credit they deserve, so it's great to see them make big plays. Great video!
I remember watching the Cowboys when Danny White was both the quarterback and the punter. Whenever they lined up in punt formation on fourth down, you never knew whether White was going to actually punt the ball or not.
If these are "ALL TIME" not sure how you leave out Jon Ryan's TD dime pass in the NFC Championship game that ignited the comeback & win against the Packers.
“All time”? Go back to the 70s and 80s to find some Danny White plays when he was backing up Staubach and even after he continued to punt while also starting at QB. Most were improv on his own. Probably drove Landry crazy.
Fourth down and goal, they sent the field goal team out and ran this trick play. The punter (who would usually be the holder) took the snap and made that underhand pass to the kicker for a touchdown.
Josh Brown tackled Devin Hester when Hester was the man, but I can't find it anywhere. There's even threads looking for it, but nobody seems to have the clip.
Jeff Heyes balked by his own player (Clint Diddier?). Glad he got into the endzone in the end, even if it was for the Bengals. And does he look so small in comparison to the others.
A highlight reel of Punters without any of Ray Guy's punts is incomplete. There is the time he jumped sky-high to snag a high snap in Superbowl XVIII or the time he blew up a Miami returner and caused a fumble and more.
Pat McAfee is just a crazy athlete. He transitioned into professional wrestling and looks like he has been doing it his whole life. Ronda Rousey is similarly gifted (probably more) athletically, and she looks like an idiot in the wrestling ring. Pat is a renascence man.
Kickers and Punters, they NEED to be ALLOWED to taunt cause well, they are kickers and punters!! Who has any ground to stand on after getting lit up by a K or P!!!
Some of the older clips showed fans dressed in whatever they had at home, long before the Teams suckered folks into buying grossly overpriced team jerseys, jackets, hats etc.
2 things. First fake punts should be more common. Any given team should have 3 or 4 a season. Second, it's funny how none of the punters were penalized for taunting. Standing over a player you just tackled almost always brings the flag.
The punter nearly gets a hard cheap shot everytime they fake it especially when they are successful or make another good play. It's almost like everyone on the opposing squad hates thier guts and of they succeed they must get smashed!
Thanks for the video, but several of these had nothing to do with punters. 1. There was an onside kick, which is not a punter play. 2. Then there was a kickoff return where the kicker knocked the ball carrier out of bounds, not the punter. 3. Immediately after that clip, another kicker made a tackle on the returner, not a punter. 4. In Seattle's game again the Rams, Seattle's punter hurt himself while running with the ball. How is that a "Best Punter Play of All Time"? For a channel named Football Films, I thought this would have been obvious.
To your first 3 points, those were all punters making the play. The first two were Pat McAfee, and the 3rd was Matt Bosher for the falcons. They’re kicking the ball off in those clips, but they’re still the punter not the regular placekicked for that team. And that play where Seattle’s punter got injured was still a great play, regardless of the injury
None of those plays came off during a playoff game where is Larry Seiple from the Miami Dolphins taking the punt in a playoff game against Pittsburgh I know it was a long time ago 1972
Fully expected a decent number of these to be McAfee.... Not disappointed 😂
I was literally about to post essentially the EXACT same thing. Got a little love for Chris Jones, too. Can also run the fake or make the hardcore tackle. We're gonna miss you, 'Punt-isher'....
He’s very deserving of being on here a bunch but that trick play vs patriots might be the worst play I’ve ever seen
Just imagine if Troy Polamalu wouldn't have lined up in the c-gap, we would have a McAfee td in these compilations.
wvu baby
Punter with a middle linebacker mentality.
I was waiting for that one too
And no one called the play. Seiple saw the opening and took off instead of punting. I was rooting for Pittsburgh to break Miami's streak, but when he did that it changed everything.
When it's all said and done, being a punter may end up just being a footnote on Pat McAfee's resume.
3:20 John Ryan's fumble was so comical. Lots of room in front of him, but he suddenly forgot to hold on to the ball.
Big miss on the Jon Ryan TD pass in the NFC championship game
Brian Moorman used to compete against running backs in skills competitions during the Pro Bowl, and would usually almost win.
Kickers/punters are very crucial and underrated positions in football, and they unfortunately don't get the credit they deserve, so it's great to see them make big plays. Great video!
I love the Teamwork.
The players always keep an eye at who to Block so their punter gets there
McAfee and Jones are beasts!
Some of those punters are surprisingly fast.
Why is that surprising? They are professional athletes
@patmcafeeshow: I was wondering where your 'own onside kick recovery' will be, 1:35
Love your videos👍
Johnny Hekker was notorious for passing on fake punts in his time with the Rams. He was a former QB, so he had a decent arm.
3:53 its 31-10 3rd quarter patriots up probably with brady and the announcer says “this could be the turning point of the game” for the bills 😂😂😂
The poor Seattle punter will never hear the end of that one🤣🤣🤣
I was at the Radiers vs Jax game. Even the Jaguars fans were amazed.
What happened to Seahawks punter @ 3:21+? 🤔
My favorite was the one with the punter. That was a great play.
I remember watching the Cowboys when Danny White was both the quarterback and the punter. Whenever they lined up in punt formation on fourth down, you never knew whether White was going to actually punt the ball or not.
Bojorquez!
75 yard punt!
Never heard of it in 50 years!
Love seeing a kicker put a big hit on a return guy.
this whole video should have been highlight of when Tupa was the qb for a while I'm a game with the Jets
Love seeing the brownies on the thumbnail
The crowd reaction at 2:59 is great
Can someone explain to me what was going on at 1:04 ? Clearly he wasn't going to punt it's 4th and goal!
The legend of McAfee
That was fun. ♠️
If these are "ALL TIME" not sure how you leave out Jon Ryan's TD dime pass in the NFC Championship game that ignited the comeback & win against the Packers.
Jesus Christ, mere mentions of that game still trigger me many years later.
brian moorman used to be a sprinter btw
I really liked the the first guy juked the return man. I think all punters everywhere rejoiced in that one.
I’m shocked the famous *McAfee to Swoope pass* followed by the swinging arms
*swagger* _wasn’t included._ 🤯
“All time”? Go back to the 70s and 80s to find some Danny White plays when he was backing up Staubach and even after he continued to punt while also starting at QB. Most were improv on his own. Probably drove Landry crazy.
Pat proved to people, punters can be football players too
Punters and kickers, if you think about it, are the ONLY real football players. I mean, which part of the word "football" don't you understand?
1:05 what is the situation there?
Fourth down and goal, they sent the field goal team out and ran this trick play. The punter (who would usually be the holder) took the snap and made that underhand pass to the kicker for a touchdown.
0:56, man, #49 has no clue a fake is in progress, dolt.
1:05 ...NICE!!!!
Josh Brown tackled Devin Hester when Hester was the man, but I can't find it anywhere. There's even threads looking for it, but nobody seems to have the clip.
Next version needs Jake Camarda's bootleg punt... Unbelievable play!
Love watching kickers just laying people out.
I was surprised not to see any Darren Bennett plays. He would kick the ball and go looking for someone to hit; it was the rugby player in him.
Me when I see the title:
Ahh yes more Pat McAfee, this whole thing is going to be just pat mcafee
The punters getting nasty tackles are the best.
I remember when Brian Moorman tried to be cute during the pro bowl and got his soul snatched out of his body by Sean Taylor. R.I.P.
The way you worded this it sounds like Brian moorman just got decimated and died and not Taylor lol
Jeff Heyes balked by his own player (Clint Diddier?). Glad he got into the endzone in the end, even if it was for the Bengals. And does he look so small in comparison to the others.
3:30 what even happened? Lol
If ur good or just decent, being a punter is the best job.
Best mic’d up moments
I’ve done a few of those but thanks for suggesting something
Pat mcafee is the punting/kicking goat💯
Was hoping to see Arizona's Ben Graham punt and then clean up the return
Uh John Ryan's touchdown throw on a fake fg in the 2014 nfc title game????
Need to update with the Dickson "Double Punt"
Nice.
Hodges was my 6th grade social studies teacher’s son in law, got to meet him once
Darren Bennett flattening Andre Hastings was missing, but that's also hard to find so understandable.
Despite the title; every time they went back to kick I could have sworn they were going to kick it.
Don’t forget Ray Guy’s incredible save of a bad snap in Super Bowl XVIII
Next how about "Best Long Snapper Plays of All Time!"
No Danny White? I realize he was a QB too, but he did this a lot, even twice in one game!
I was hoping to see both of Tommy Townsend’s passes on this.
I’m surprised punters aren’t more capable runners since they use their legs so much.
"hurdles . . . .kicks a man"!
Daniel Sepulveda once put on one of the best hits I ever did see
Kickers and Punters, they NEED to be ALLOWED to taunt cause well, they are kickers and punters!! Who has any ground to stand on after getting lit up by a K or P!!!
People tend to forget that some of the punters and kickers in NFL played other sports. I know soccer is a common sport for them.
McAfee really thought he did somethin tackling a 5'5 return man that didn't see him.... lol
No Johnny Hecker?
If you have an athletic punter why not try this stuff sometimes.
McAfee is insane
I think half of these are Pat McAfee
I think Chris Jones for the Cowboys is one of the most athletic players in the league. A lot of people don’t know that cause he is just a punter.
Person : Runs with the "ball" out of bounds.
American rugby fans : Cheers like crazy.
I don't understand americans.
That fake punt on the first highlight was great! Should have put him in the backfield.
You knew McAffe was going to have more than a couple. There are even more you could have used.
Where is Ray Guy ?
Where are those big Todd Sauerbrun hits? I know he was a juicer, but still technically a punter..
Mat McBriar’s “drop kick” for Dallas
Some of these guys are pretty fast lol
Some of the older clips showed fans dressed in whatever they had at home, long before the Teams suckered folks into buying grossly overpriced team jerseys, jackets, hats etc.
Can't believe you didn't have the Jon Ryan TD pass in the NFC championship/
Not one Sam Koch play?
I remember seeing a video of Dan Sepulveda absolutely brutalizing a punt returner.
So this was basically a McAfee highlight reel?
There is one punter in the Hall of Fame. There *should* be two. Pat McAfee should be there too.
Imagine being an NFL punter with a TD on your record. Too bad Tampa Bay doesnt know the meaning of trick play.
Pat Mcafee made me realize kickers are people too
2 things. First fake punts should be more common. Any given team should have 3 or 4 a season. Second, it's funny how none of the punters were penalized for taunting. Standing over a player you just tackled almost always brings the flag.
Why do you always play American Football in slow motion! I fell asleep twice!
You cut alway a bit too early on some of the clips.
No Ray Guy????????
3:30 - what the heck happened there? It looks like a sniper took him out.
The punter nearly gets a hard cheap shot everytime they fake it especially when they are successful or make another good play. It's almost like everyone on the opposing squad hates thier guts and of they succeed they must get smashed!
Lot of McAfee, which is good... but no Hekker?
Thanks for the video, but several of these had nothing to do with punters.
1. There was an onside kick, which is not a punter play.
2. Then there was a kickoff return where the kicker knocked the ball carrier out of bounds, not the punter.

@@Football_Films Thanks for clarifying.
I don't understand how Marquette King wound up out of the league so quickly...
McAfee, McAfee, McAfee, Jones, McAfee, Jones ...
None of those plays came off during a playoff game where is Larry Seiple from the Miami Dolphins taking the punt in a playoff game against Pittsburgh I know it was a long time ago 1972
Mcafee is a hall of farmer no doubt.
No Danny White fakes with a pass?
