Good vid! For an even cheaper/faster reflector fix, I used aluminum tape 😀 I must be lucky with my yellow LEDs as they have been working great for 1 year+
I will be looking to do this sometime in spring. You did a good job with the chrome vinyl so I may attempt the same. I've personally always been on the fence about 3000k leds - they tend to come off more as yellow rather then the warm white that halogens give; likewise 6000k is just too white and modern. I had an idea of using copper tape instead of chrome for the reflector, and possibly 6000k or 4300k leds and see if it can get close to the halogen colors. Keep up the videos bro
Thanks man, I recommend maybe 3500k or 4000 if you want that just pure “halogen” style look, but to find something in the fog light department that might give off that temperature might be difficult. Unless you don’t mind modifying the back of the housing to fit LEDs with a bigger heat sink
I thought for sure you'd hate the amber tint when you first bought the car. It wasn't my best work, but I really like amber fogs. I have them on most of my cars!
No I loved it plus it really separated the identity of the two cars apart because it really does change the look of the front end in a weird way I can’t explain. But mainly I really missed it because walking out and seeing the yellow tint takes me right back to seeing the car in your driveway for the first time and to that whole trip to sandiego in general. Plus I remember you mentioning you tint all your car’s fogs yellow so I figured it would be a nice tribute 😁
