    Great idea using long needles for doing the gathering stitch. My hands don't work like they should so I'm stealing that idea. Have 4 1/2" needles ordered😊 TFS!

    I love this simple but elegant ribbon flower...so easy to make and so appealing...I may be starting a craft class here at the Community Center at the apartment complex where I live (it will be a volunteer class), and I think this may be the first project on my agenda...I'm so glad I saw this tutorial...thanks for sharing...

    I am in love with that flower,i am going to give it a try cause i have several satin and silk ribbons,they are not as wide as yours,i think mine are about 2,5 " each.. and i got a bunch of lace,got needle and thred :) thank you so much

    A tip for strong thread that won't break is : Use dental floss! It never breaks! Thanks for the video! Hope you are feeling better!

    I love everything you make I am so interesting in all crafts. but I have a problem working because i have Parkinson disease and it's very hard but i still still try. and the supplies are so expensive i have not got much but I will try to make a flower, thank you

    great tutorial! I was working on wire ribbon flowers this weekend. Guess I am on your creative wave length! hehe I hope to do a video soon. Thanks so much for sharing. I wouldn't have thought of the second sewing on the ribbon.

      The thing about this technique is that is you pull the threads tightly they cup the flower, if you loosen them, the flower lays flat so you get two types of flower! xx

    I have been hoping you would find time in your busy schedule to do this tutorial. I love this flower. I have the large needles and now all I need to do is get some wide satin ribbon since all I have is 5/8 of an inch. Fiona thank you so much for doing this.

    Love these flowers and if I'm not mistaken it's the first time I see that you don't use black thread in a project. je je je lovely flowers, will be trying to make them.

      Yes Donna, I generally use the black when doing a tut because its easier for the watcher to see what I'm doing, but these you can see clear me thinks lol lol. Love these flowers and you can make them in any sizes :) xx

    2 days ago I saw one of your posts to form a 5 or 6 petal flower from a 60 cm piece of satin ribbon or material....basting it so that when you drew the stitches..a flower was formed & then you added a lacy center to each petal. I thought I saved it on my lists..but went back in and this one was saved instead, Since then I can not locate that other tutorial. Can you please send me a link or the name of the video?
