Yeah feel it you still got to be you can't lose your authenticity just to stay current
agreed 100%. people tell me to make more trap beats all the time but i dont enjoy trap beats as much as real hiphop beats so i try to mix the two styles. If you constantly change what you make you will never win. Boombap, 90s and early 2000s style of hiphop is still huge in germany/ france/ and middle east. Rapper name Sagopa Kajmer is the biggest rapper in my country and all he does is boombap. even tho trap music is getting pretty big but no one respects the trap music as much as boom bap or real hiphop. regardless of where you are in the world.
