When I do my reaction videos I don't press pause because I don't want to interrupt the natural flow of the music as it was originally intended by the artist. I try to vocalise my thoughts in real time as I listen to the song, and then summarise my reaction afterwards.

Very surprised by this one for the same reasons you were. I got a lot of Northlane vibes from this, which I really wasn’t expecting. Future Palace is another good shout. Definitely a solid track and makes me eager to hear more from them. Lots to enjoy here. Great video, as always!

Told you you’d like it! 😁 As Vir 39 says, Chemicals, from slightly before Atonemet, should hit the spot too. Isn’t Janel Duarte the bassist a great harsh vocalist? I always like a mix of harsh and cleans, whether by two vocalists as here or by one (speaking as a big Spiritbox fan). Izzy Johnson, the lead guitarist who does the mini-solo at the end, is from the UK. The band does seem to be more metalcore than pop punk. I believe their producer is Joey Sturgis, the husband of the band’s rhythm guitarist, Kristen Sturgis.
I also came to them via Electric Callboy, but I started from a few songs back. I wasn't overly impressed by the earlier stuff (well executed, but not really my thing), but they clearly had something, and their progression over those few songs since then has been phenomenal! 'Atonement' is, for me, the best thing they've done so far, but 'Chemicals' is definitely worth a listen. This is a group to keep an eye on. Excellent analysis as ever - thanks Steve.

Yeah, do more of them. I really liked it, too. I can't recommend a song, because this is the only song I've heard from them. I could check them out myself, but I'm lazy, and I want you to do all the work for me.
