Putin’s nod to Ukraine nuclear plant’s UN inspection; Senses ‘catastrophe’ in call with Macron

- Russian President Vladimir Putin has agreed to allow independent inspectors to visit the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant. The Kremlin made the announcement after a call between Putin and French President Emmanuel Macron. The statement further stated that Putin had agreed to provide UN investigators with the ‘necessary assistance’ to access the Ukrainian nuclear facility. The plant has been under Russian occupation since March but Ukrainian technicians still operate it under Russian direction. Moscow & Kyiv have accused each other of shelling the largest nuclear power plant in Europe. While Ukraine has accused Russian forces of ‘blackmail’ by stationing its troops there, Russia has blamed Ukrainian military of creating the danger of large-scale catastrophe that could lead to radiation contamination.

Using nuclear power plant to try claim any kind of victory won't work.

It on Redacted chanel....the equiptment used to shell the plant ukrainians are nor able to use it also it is not only operated manually, the usa has special agents in ukraine shelling the plant, the evidence was found near the plant but mainstream media is not going to report this....obviously zelensky agrees to it.

Nuclear plant needs to be visited, to avoid catastrophy.
Macron was right to call Putin and urge him to allow independent inspectors to visit the nuclear plant. Diplomacy is the best way to avoid a nuclear disaster. Kudos
Putin was happy all along for this to happen it had nothing to do with Macron.
Russia has already asked for inspection, but they wouldn't come in unless both sides agreed, guess who didn't agree ?
Why does a country that's getting invaded have to agree to anything? They didn't agree to get invaded. It's not Russia's plant to make decisions like that. How bout just leave. @@patrickboland6102 there’s a damn good reason. Sadly political. The Russians have only agreed to inspections, via Russian approved entry points to inspectors approved by Russia carrying Russian visas. In short The inspectors have thus far refused to acknowledge the plant and region belong to Russia. By following Russian restrictions the inspectors believe they are giving credence to Russian claims.
This also an advantage to russia, because one the inspectors are there Ukraine will not fire at the plant so

Prior to the Russians taking over the ZNPP, the Ukrops had already set up explosives on the tops of two of the reactors. So the bombardment from the Ukies now is their second attempt at a nuclear disaster!

Russia should immediately shut down this power plant.
That would be the smartest thing to do. However shutting down a nuclear power plant isn't 1,2,3 its gonna take time.
Even after it's.shut down it can still leak radioactive materials if Ukraine continues to shell it. All of EU should demand the inspection. Russia built the plant, why would they they and destroy it?

That would be bad publicity for Russia to admit to the occupied territory that they have no power because Russia can’t secure a power plant.

Ukraine can’t attack it for fear of a disaster on their territory. They can’t lay siege as the Russians have Ukrainians working at gun point already. The great fear now is that Russia is trying to instigate an “accident “ by over working the crews and not enabling normal upkeep work.
