I queue this and whiskey performance a few times a week. The energy and urgency of these performances compels me to view/watch them regularly. I love every minute.
They don't do covers anymore, but back when they did, they crushed them - always. Yes, they design their own stuff around being a three-piece, which is structurally simpler - not easy, but easier to do than have the guitar and bass bridging the gap in a song that is missing its second guitar. They have a formula they use to solve the issues, and yet their songs do not sound cookie-cutter at all. That is part of their genius.
I was blown away first time I saw this version🤯 the live version is crazy good and was done at the end of a 2 hr set as a request which makes it even more incredible.😲 I love that Pau takes some of the vocals on top of killing it on the drums. 😎Ale and Dany were so impressive. the fact they were so young still boggles my mind thanks RC new song coming out Friday official release of Sick. 🤘⚡🔥
They announced they were done doing covers right after this. The performance at the Whisky 3 years later was a present for someone there. It was used as the encore on an over 20 song set. They just killed and they had not played it in 3 years except for soundcheck that day.
I don’t know if it’s been mentioned yet, but the story goes that this video in the cave was recorded just FOUR days after the girls heard Atlas Rise for the very first time! Mind blowing!
Hell yeah indeed! Speaking of raw sound, The Warning will present the video for one of their latest songs, SICK, this Feb 2nd. I have a feeling you may like it!
How do you not have more followers? You put out thoughtful, intuitive, respectful content regarding any band or music that you’ve checked out. I’m a huge warning fan and that’s the bulk of the content that I’ve been watching and I’ve loved every minute of it. look forward to the next one keep up the good job.
If you think they rocked this performance, just wait til you see the Whisky version - they absolutely blew the roof off the place! I’m getting excited just thinking about it! 😂 Fantastic reaction, my friend! Can’t wait to see you picking your jaw off the floor after that version.
Hey RC! If you like this, wait until you see it live at The Whiskey! Dany is playing her Manson and Ale is on her big, thundering Spector instead of her short scale bass and they absolutely blow the roof off! And it's AFTER playing nearly a 2 hour show!
I can agree that the Whisky performance sounds even better but part of that is that they all had upgraded their instruments and had more than 4 days to practice their own version. When it comes to performance they gave everything you can ask for in both performances but in this video, you can much better see how each of them performs.
Some people wonder if Dany can shred since she dose not do it much in their own compositions. All they have to do is watch a couple of these covers to realize that she can do it. They as a band just CHOOSE not to.
I keep hoping that at least one of the songs on the new album includes a long instrumental section, since they are certainly capable of it. Enjoyed your reaction; many reactors are not even familiar with this song, so it’s great to hear the perspective of someone who is. 👍😎
I agree .. I’ve also been thinking the same thing !!!.. at some point I think it would be a good idea for them to either write an instrumental or have a song that showcases how good each of them really are.. taking it back to like 70’s rock where they each have sort of a solo part , although that might be a little harder in a live show !!!
The Warning girls crawed outta the baby crib, said goodbye to their home planet. Adapted to the English language, and now they're taking over this world. Using their weapon of choice.. MUSICA ....🤟🎶☮️
i saw a panel discussion on some other channel one of the guys was putting Dany down saying all she knows how to do is power chords and one string solos and they should get a "real" guitarist . i pointed out in comments that some of the greatest songs ever written where composed with just 2 simple chords and that complicating a song doesn't necessarily make it better , i also suggested that he obviously had not watched many of Dany's performance's if he thought she wasn't a "real " guitarist and had no clue what she was actually capable of and that he should learn what music is and what makes a good composition before spouting off with mindless opinions ( ok so i was not quite so polite in my wording to him lol ) . i am really glad that there are some reactors like you that actually know what they are talking about from experience . rock on man !
Hell YEAH!!! That is how it is done!!! Three Teenage girls rocking the crap out of that song....not an easy song, and they killed it. Any doubts about the talent of these Ladies....Watch this !!! ⚡⚡⚡⚡🤘🤘🤘🤘 Thanks RC, love this one and also the live at Whiskey....phenomenal.
Sir, great reaction! Love your going through and picking out areas where they’re, as you say, stretching themselves. Now you have to see the Whisky. It was the last time they played a straight cover in public. It was a couple years after this. It was a surprise. It was two hours in to their set. It was their closer. It is awesome. Looking forward to seeing you see that one!
This version is wonderful. I do prefer the Whisky performance for several reasons. First it is completely live, and one take (pay attention to Ale’s sleeves…the audio is from one take, but the video is spliced together from several takes). Second, the crowd/band energy…that night they played this as the encore after playing all originals for two hours. Third, I was at the Whisky to see it first hand. 😀🤘🏻🤘🏻 Edit:at the Whisky, Ale was also now playing a Spector….so there is another reason. 😊
Hell yeah, got that right. I had to watch this every day before I left for work every day for a couple months. Crazy good. I can’t get enough of these ladies. Raw energy for sure. And the story is that they learned it in 4 days. Mind blown. The whiskey show they played it as an encore after a 2 hour show. They were pretty well already exhausted but powered through like troopers. Great performance.
Freeze The Fall dropped their first video single this morning. Definitely worth a look. 3 piece, Warning inspired, teenage rock band, from my home town. Official video-"Glitch".
I appreciate your reactions so much RC! As a non musician, you give me insight on things I would miss! I will be interested for you to breakdown the differences between this performance and the Whisky a Go Go’s performance!! Also don’t forget, new song, S!CK, being released this Friday Feb 2nd!!!👏😊⚡️
Back in 2019 their song "Survive" from the 2017 Ted Talk hooked me hard. 5 mins later "Atlas Rise" is the song that sold me. Been a fan ever since. I have seen them play in 5 states now, and fight for the coveted Rail in the PIT, and I am an old fart! 🤘⚡🤘
Wow RC I think this is the happiest reaction I've seen you have!! And you really know the song and can tell how The Warning pulled this off, all while they were having a blast. Glad that you will check out the performance at The Whiskey (also glad to see The Warning poster in the background...). I have to admit that I never heard this song until seeing The Warning's version at The Whiskey, about a day after I found them, and then had to check out Metallica's live performance of the song. I do like the rawness of The Warning's version, maybe I actually like 3 piece bands more than other bands just for that rawness, hmmm
Every time I have watched John review The Warning, it would look like he was getting warmed up and then the song ended. And, when you look at the earlier covers, they did not mind taking chances, and they did, and usually succeeded. John seemed quite happy while watching them play this crazy song and its not easy. Looks like he will do the part 2 when he is ready . When you watch this performance, it is amazing how the three of them are holding down their individual parts so well, and then playing together so well. I saw Dany smiling a few times in this performance. Does anyone think that Lars could keep up with Pau? Pau added those rolls and touches throughout the drum part. And, we love you Lars 😁.
Enjoyed your reaction! As is my usual with The Warning, I like the live version even better, especially given it was an encore after what I understand was a 20+ song performance (could be wrong about the song count - just repeating what I saw in another comment). As another commenter mentioned on that video, it was well past Ale's normal bedtime!
SICK, the new single is finally released! Great song, but they've the choice to wink at the mainstream market in the studio recording for sales! Only to then, ALWAYS, LIVE they unleash thunder and lightning, that raw harshness, that grit and energy that only a great live band can bring out... and I believe you have learned to appreciate it as you've progressed in your reactions to their live music experience!
Awesome! So technical. Glad you're doing the Whiskey version as well. You'll enjoy it just as much or more than this one. Can't wait for that. Speaking of can't wait - the new song 'Sick' drops tonight on UA-cam at midnight - looking forward to your reaction on that too.
...so you're gonna lose your lid when you watch their performance at Whiskey A Go Go! That performance almost has a feeling of desperation!! So talk about RAW? The Whiskey was RAW and Lightning in a Bottle!
The Whisky version is even better whats even more impressive is that they played it after a 2 hour set they were very tired and nailed it even better than this one.
... and just think- Ale' was 12 years old doing this cover and just killing it!!! In the Whisky a GoGo version that was their 23rd song of a 23 song concert and they were dead tired but they still crushed it. The audio just isn't that great.

Insane !!!
Ale was 12 Years old here? Just insane! It’s incredible that we are watching them grow into one of the best bands in the world!
That's three young ladies doing the job of four grown men..... 🤟❤️⚡⚡⚡
I queue this and whiskey performance a few times a week. The energy and urgency of these performances compels me to view/watch them regularly.
I love every minute.
They rocked the shit out that didn’t they 🔥🔥🔥🔥ROCK ON THE WARNING 🤘🤘🤘🤘

These girls hit me in the feels every time. Don't even worry about it.
Dany is an amazing guitar player and i think she's underrated.
These ladies were custom made for this😂
They announced they were done doing covers right after this. The performance at the Whisky 3 years later was a present for someone there. It was used as the encore on an over 20 song set. They just killed and they had not played it in 3 years except for soundcheck that day.

Wow yeah this really illustrates just what caliber of musicians they are. They slayed it at the Whiskey. I go back to it often
Oh...The one at the Whiskey A Go Go was played at the end of a 2 hour set, as a treat to the owner and audience . it's also awesome 🤟🎶☮️
Just three teenagers jamming out to some awesome music what could be better?
Hell yeah indeed! Speaking of raw sound, The Warning will present the video for one of their latest songs, SICK, this Feb 2nd. I have a feeling you may like it!
Can't wait!
SiriusXM's Octane channel will be premiering Sick at 6:00 pm US Eastern time

Thank you very much! Glad to have on board.

And look at the symbols on Pau's drum kit. How many?
There's also an edit on UA-cam blending The Warning's Whiskey performance with Metallica.
Where can I find this video it sounds awesome
Look for 'Metallica and The Warning. Atlas Rise'.

I also think they should consider an instrumental. The closest they get is with Survive on the second part.
The Warning girls crawed outta the baby crib, said goodbye to their home planet. Adapted to the English language, and now they're taking over this world. Using their weapon of choice.. MUSICA ....🤟🎶☮️
I swear they come from the same place that octopus come from.

OK, I'll check them out. Thanks!
You're great, i have no doubt on future success of your channel!
Wow, thank you!
If you like this, you'll love their live version at Whisky-A-Go-Go. The energy they can emit at the end of a two-hour set is incredible!

🔥⚡🤘The whisky a go go version is a must see (ear) too!🤘⚡🔥
Try the Whiskey a GoGo version, it's even better. The Les Paul just doesn't have the sound needed.
Great reaction Rock Candy, awesome cover! 🔥🔥🔥

I loved seeing you get a bit excited. Thank you for staying with these young ladies.
loved it. Better grab Ala nett to catch your feels again after you watch the whiskey a go-go performance.
My opinion: just better than the Metallica original🤘🤘🤘these girls are ridiculous!!!
Wow RC I think this is the happiest reaction I've seen you have!! And you really know the song and can tell how The Warning pulled this off, all while they were having a blast. Here i am! 🤗🤟🤟
Glad you are!
The female band of Ningen Isu : )
I am happy to see them live in Haarlem (Netherlands) in april! Looking forward to the new songs, Sick & Hell You Call A Dream !!
The sound quality is much better in The Warning Cave, than at The Whiskey
The sheer level of talent in these there amazing young women is awe inspiring! The Whiskey A GoGo performance is more polished and very cool as well!
The Whisky performance is amazing. They turned a mediocre metal song into a great hard rock song.
I loved David Heretic's evaluation "Great cover of a bad song."
Great reaction. Thanks.
Thank you too!
As usual wonderful reaction-analysis.
Wow, thank you!

The Warning is leading me to Metallica. Metallica should be happy.
The Whisky version is even better whats even more impressive is that they played it after a 2 hour set they were very tired and nailed it even better than this one.
De los covers poderosos de The Warning ,Atlas Rise, TW es tan talentoso que puede tocar metal son un fenómeno
... and just think- Ale' was 12 years old doing this cover and just killing it!!! In the Whisky a GoGo version that was their 23rd song of a 23 song concert and they were dead tired but they still crushed it. The audio just isn't that great.
This is a TW song for me now.
This is a great performance, but I prefer The Warning's original music, including their playing style.
Lars would drop a stick and knock over a cymbal if he tried to sing and play like Pau on this song.
And still a better drummer than lars 😂
