I feel like the energy of the drop makes so much more sense when you know the original lyric as written was "90's Bitch" as opposed to 'Nineteen's Kitsch". The songwriter wrote the original version a few years back for another project, but it wasn't used in the end and so was repurposed for IVE.
Kitsch is a term usually used in art to describe an artwork or art style which is deemed to be poor in taste by critics, but is easily palatable by listeners and usually massively popular. An artwork or style can also be kitschy intentionally, so as to make commentary or a statement. I think that "nineteen's kitsch" is a phrase which celebrates youthful pop culture and IVE as the centerpiece of it. It both celebrates how fun and "slay" it is, but, also, the messages it conveys, which is noticable from the "You're so weird, don't change" and the "Books, not guns! Culture, not violence!" signs/inscriptions on their jackets. The jackets, themselves, are school uniforms, further establishing the youth motif. At least, that's how I interpret it. It's a celebration of youth culture, both its entrancing (even if critically rejected by boomer critics) music and aesthetic and its attitude, which is about loving oneself without succumbing to external pressure to change, love of others and love of art being deemed a virtue, as opposed to violence and hatred. Even though I Am is a vocal masterpiece I really enjoy, I have to say, I'm more of an average Kitsch enjoyer for its message, but, also, the club banger chorus, lol.
