I have to make sure I watch this one every year when you go. It brings back some memories. I may have not been in the Marines, But I have lost friends!! Stay safe!! USAF Ret! Just north of you in SE WI.
The fact that you do this annual tribute to your fallen comrades tell me EVERYTHING I need to know about what kind of Marine you were! We do a reunion every 5-7 years with all of us who served in the Gulf together (I was in 3rd TankBn, Task Force Ripper). TRULY thank you for what you do and the fact you share this. (cant believe you yanked out 20 dude!!!!)
Love your vids man starting getting into bikes when my friend did since i found your yt ive wanted to get my first bike hopefully this is the year i can
You saying that the young marine being a fan was the biggest complement you’ve ever received and then explaining it makes total sense. That interaction between you two felt so much different than any other time you’ve been recognized. Felt so genuine you’re an inspiration to so many.
It really hit me so much differently because I was once that young marine, I know exactly what his day to day is like and what struggles he is gonna face or facing when he transitions.
San Mateo! 3/5 Sangin vet. That hill will forever hurt, but nothing will stop me from seeing my brothers. Thank you Brian for showing this to your subscribers.
My wife and I went to visit our son in 1st CEB a few years ago. California was having a wetter than usual year and the entire First Sergeant Hill was covered in a yellow flowers super bloom. Beautiful but still hurt.
Hey Brian, I’m here on Pendleton right now and while I’m not in 3/5 or an 03 at all. Before I joined I saw one of your earlier videos about you doing this hike, and when I first got stationed here I knew that first sergeants hill was one of the first places I had to go. My bike is down at the moment, but I’m hoping it’ll be good to go next time you’re here. I know you do this hike solo but if you’re okay with me joining you next time you do this hike or even just go for a ride so I can get some life advice, corps advice, and maybe even a little stunting advice from you I’d be extremely grateful. From my 3/5 buddy Caqueis “Get some!” Much love to you brother and R.I.P. Kawi
Germans kicked some cheeks in GWOT. Wasn't just the US. I know it's a forgotten history now. But 72 countries had boots on dirt and sand along side the United States. Alot were combat forces not just participation award bench warming.
Forgot it was about that time. Glad to see you’re able to make the trip and take the time to reflect on the sacrifices you and your brothers made for the rest of us.
I found your channel one year ago when you dropped the last trip to base! I haven’t missed a video since.. Brian the content you put out always teaches me something historical/or moral that I appreciate so much! Thank you and your friends for your service may their names live on forever!
I'm serious when I say this, my fav bits of your videos are you going to see your fallen brothers and visiting your base. Bare in mind, I'm not American nor have I ever stepped foot in America. I can feel it, Brian, and it's "darn beautiful". There are also lessons here and I'm all in for it.
last time I watched this yearly vid I wasn't a marine and now I am and Brian you def where a big influence and I'm glad to be a part of the brotherhood
Get some devil dog. I remember watching Brian's videos before I joined the Navy (boooo, I know.) but to be watching them now, and also be close to here brings a whole new perspective to everything.
You helped me out of my deep depression. I've watched all of your videos, and it gave me energy and spark not to give up. I now own a 09 R1 and two dirt bikes!! Just wanted to say thank you for what you do.
Bikes help alot don't they? From riding, wrenching, or just learning. I've had dirt bikes off and on since I was a kid, but picked up Indian 5 years ago and can't look back. Got a Harley, grom and a crf110 now, and looking at adding a trail 125 for the lady and some sort of emoto.
Man I'm just a little Air Force comm guy but I always love these videos. I have so much respect for all the infantry guys in any branch and I'm glad you're keeping the tradition alive. A lot of people don't realize how privileged we are nowadays and its really all because of people like you and your buddies that we get to live this way. RIP all fallen service members. Keep being awesome Brian! HUA
Love watching these each year. My cousin Hunter was one of the 13 service members that passed in the HKIA bombing. Never forget, keep their legacies alive by living the life they didn’t have the opportunity to enjoy.
A Marine stationed at Camp Pendleton, currently deployed. Video making me feel like im back there! Went up 1stSgts hill a few times and even brought a cross up. Unbelievable experience. Thank you all your your service and thank you Brian 🙏
As a veteran who has lost 4 brothers in arms to the 22 a day thank you for remembering them and still taking care of them Brian, makes me think back to my dudes and brings tears to my eyes. Never forget any of them and may they rest easy brother.
My Dad was with the 1rst Marines in Okinawa in WWII, My Father in Law was a career marine Corps officer with 3 tours in Viet Nam, was captured and helped 8 other Marines escape, he recieved a Bronze star for that action, Love the Marines, Thanks for your service, Semper Fi!!!
1st time i made that hike was back in 2018. My company commander brought the entire company to tell us stories of great warfighters he served with during his deployment. It is just a feeling that I can not even describe. Truly grateful for the sacrifices that some of them made, and some gave it all.
The algorithm brought me here today, and boy it was for good reason. I work for a place who helps veterans obtain disability aid, and recently I've been feeling down about the job. All it takes sometimes is a gentle push to realize the impact we have and if I can prevent just one guy from becoming a 22, it's worth it. Got a bit emotional on this one, thanks for your service and modern perspective.
I remember the last video you did this like it was yesterday. Time goes by so fast. Thank you for your service and staying true to your brothers by coming back here to honour them.
My brother was a marine. Went through BRC at Camp Pendleton. We only live 35 minutes away so he was able to come home on weekends. I was in middle school. His name was Cpl. Jordan Robert Stanton. Deployed to Afghanistan when I was a freshman. Caught an IED 3/4/2011. Helmand Province Upper Sangin District. Operation Enduring Freedom. I’m 28 now and I still think about him every day. Thanks for giving the guys their nod. The sentiment hasn’t really been there for years now. You’re the man.
I’ve been watching for at least 6 years and I have nothing but respect for you. Thank you to your service and same as well to the ones we lost. I can tell you all shared a true brotherhood. Still showing up for him is absolute love. And I’m sure he’s always watching over you and keeping you safe. Much love brother
every year again i get so sentimental, even though im not American, i can feel the pain in your voice as you try to explain what you do to remember all your fallen brothers, love it❤
Honestly hands down my favourite time of year is base time! I'm not a military man but the yearly videos makes me feel so bloody proud of the men and women who serve our great nations and lay their life's on the line! They shall never be forgotten! Rest easy and fly high !
One of the hardest things about military service is when you think about those young ones who we lost along the way. I’m riding my motorcycle with this bad back to enjoy every day I have left to honor the memory of those who are no longer here. Thanks for the video Brian. V/r some retired guy, USAF.
The fact I read the thumbnail and instantly got hit with a sense of grief was really emotional. Not much connected to any servicemen, but I always appreciate the connection you had and still share.
I just got back from my first VA visit after being out for 2 years and man it really hit me how hard i miss it... and then this video popped up.. I'm gonna go back to Pendleton and just remember everything the same way you just did. s/f
Hi Brian I’m from Canada and a retired army reservist now and I’m very proud that u do this every year. I started watching ur channel last year when u visited nick. And I can not wait for ur yearly visit to nick. Semper fi brotha. God bless u and all of the troops in and out of the military
Hard to believe it's been a year already. I've watched your trips back to base for at least the last 5 years. I love your riding videos, but these are something special.
Super inspiring but we’re lucky to have the guys we do or did in the military fighting for us instead of some of the kids today thank you and all them above for y’all’s service
This trip you make for your brothers man... i started watching it 4 years ago... this is the reason i followed you not necessarily for this video but the love of brotherhood that you possess
I was never in the military, but the love you have for the Marine Corps and all of the great young men who gave the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom is something this yearly video does an amazing job of showing. Without fail, someone always seems to be cutting onions whenever I watch them. I hope you enjoy your time in Socal until next time stay safe, brother.
Hey Brian im from Germany and Its just so crazy when i watch these kind of Videos from you, i just get Tears in my Eyes just from your "Passion", you visit your fellow Marines every Year and you share it with us, Thank You and be safe out there
Man i watch these every year. Nick is still so proud of what youve done. Bringing him beers and cleaning him again. I know hes looking down and proud of you. Thank you brian.
I look out for this vid every year. You can tell its one of if not your favorite videos to film every year, the energy, the stories, and the beautiful words make it better every year Brian!
As a Turkish person, the video really touched me. I don't have much knowledge about marine culture and American culture, but I have full faith that every citizen will love and protect their country. Stay safe.
Every time you make one of these videos it humbles me. Your commentary changes, your cadence changes, it’s extremely easy to see how much this means to you. RIP Nick and all of the other fallen men that made the ultimate sacrifice. Thanks for making sure the second death of these guys hasn’t happened yet.
I look forward to these videos every year. Makes me tear up every single time, and I'm not even American. I've never lost anyone close to me, but when I do I wish to honor their memory as well as you do to yours Brian.

I'm 22 and never been in the army, but watching this really made me tear up. Much respect to you for honoring the heroes and keeping their names alive. Greetings from Latvia! 🙌
My uncal and dad was in the brittish army tank regiment and engineers and my nephew has just gone in to the kings royal guards I have a lot of friends in aswell I hold the army close to my heart as its been a big part of my life I just watched this video found it proper heart warming how you got to the top of the hill and spoke to your mate and the fallen like they are still alive love that
The upmost respect for you and you fellow soldiers, thank you for your service. My grandpa passed about a week ago and we laid him to rest over last weekend and he was a Vietnam vet, just seeing the Vietnam memorial made me think of him and the amazing man he was

I’ve recently been watching some of your videos, been watching maybe last six months to the year and I just have to say this was one of the coolest and most respectful videos that I’ve seen you make. I love the content that you make, and you showing respect and giving us a view of something that not everybody can see the crosses on the hill was very impactful. Thank you 636
Got my ass sitting here crying I wasn’t in the military but I lost 2 friends during their deployments. Brought back memories that I havnt brought up in a while. Thanks brother
I genuinely look forward to this video every year, it always popped up on my suggested and here I am! as someone who no longer can serve due to a conviction, I genuinely enjoy seeing what I missed out on, and how much love you have for it, and your Brothers!
Thank you for your service Brian. These videos are always truly moving. I never served but it is because of the sacrifices you and so many others have made and continue to make that we get to enjoy the life we do. Ive been a long time subscriber and from a fellow illinois rider thank you brother.
Might be a new follower but from a Soldier to a Marine god bless you. This was a very touching moment and I feel you captured the feeling of serving and comradery excellently. Much love bro.

Brian. Ypu are my most favourite motovlogger and you not trying to be. You combine 2 huge interests and passions history and motorcycles. I've been watching you for longer than I'd like to admit. I've been watching you since around the time/ just before you had the green camo wrap on your 636. Watching you do this annual video is like a tradition for myself at this point. Cannot express enough how awesome you are and what you've created with channel. Thank you for chasing your passion and following your dreams.
