Merci and bon weekend! I didn't know DAP wood/grain filler could be used that way to achieve such a smooth look. The black base makes the ash top look even more striking! Avoir du fonne!
Wow! Finally someone built a free standing coat rack and not a triple cubbyhole with hooks on painted plywood monstrosity. I especially like the metal look to the bottom half. Tagging this one for my files.
I just upgraded from an old 9 inch Black & Decker chop saw from the 80s to a 12 inch sliding Ryobi (I really wanted to be able to cut 4x4s). You just taught me some amazing things I didn't know I could do with it. Thank you!
Finally. A true how to video on a build. Excellent in showing exactly what to do and the easy way to do things. Wish more UA-cam would workers would take the time to do the same. Your pictures of the build really helped along with your presentation. Well done.
Came out awesome! And we were at HD earlier today picking up 4 sheets of 3/4in ply. Coincidentally bought some DAP wood filler for a desk/wall built-in, I'm working on 👍🏻. Good luck to everyone. God bless and take care, Marie
That's a great design and beautifully executed. The filled finish is flawless - I've got to try something similar for feet on my column speakers. Wish me luck, I'm going for a metallic to match the cones.
Really neat, Marie. I like the design and two tone finish. It's too bad I don't have a spot in my house for one or I'd be in fhe shop now making one. DAP really makes the project go easier. Take care. Bill
Beautiful, Marie! Really well done! 😃 I'm thinking about making something similar, but I haven't decided the design yet. But I loved how you did it! Anyway, stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
Impressive clean design and work! Love it! May only change the brace support to an angle to match the flow of the branches on mine. Thank you for sharing your talents and time!!!
that's a very DAPper looking coat rack! seriously, great job...keep up the great work! i'd love to try some of that DAP wood filler on one of my projects.
Nicely Done ! Don't need a coat rack right now but a great lesson on making lap joints. Got to admit ... I was a bit skeptical on using the miter saw based on your Instagram reels. Seeing the process in detail, I'm want to try it. Aloha ... TJB
Nice job 👍 the no seam looks great on the base. I have no problem subscribing to DAP Canada, I've been using their products for years on my house and have always had great results.
The DAP Canada wood filler did a great job of smoothing the wood grain. Love the design. I wish I had space for a free standing coat rack. I’d make this one for sure if I did.
Your video is really well explained. I usually struggle to follow tutorials and I'm learning as I go. I will certainly give this a go once I get my table saw :-)
Great looking piece. I quite like the 2 tone finish. My only critique/suggestion is I think it would’ve been a much cleaner look if you actually made the coat hooks and the support piece flush with the vertical posts. Just my 2 cents. Enjoyed the video and look forward to your next build!
Terrific, very well narrated. I do not have a dado capable table saw and your instructions are giving me incentive to keep on trying to use the multiple pass method. I live in the US so I will not be entering the contest.
in Italian this object is called "attaccapanni", and my grandfather was an old Roman and they also called it "omo morto" in dialect , that is " uomo morto" that is in English "dead man", I think they called it that because when you hang a coat looks like a dead hanged man; macabre comedy from the old days in rome (google translate)
Great video and I love the design. But shame on Bosch at flex in a saw is not acceptable at all with this price point one of the most expensive ones on the market with the exception of the Kapex which I can personally vouch for it does not flex in anyway

I really like what the wood filler did for the base. With the black paint it really does look like one complete and seamless piece. Great job!!!
Thanks!
Great video. The coat rack resembles your logo. Now that would be ultra fancy.
Great idea for a coat rack and yes I really like the added brace in the middle never hurts for more support. Keep up the great videos
And voila !! You have a great coat rack !! Thanks for the video !
Easy as that! 😉
Great, thank you! Each to her own but I prefer a natural finish!
The black base looks good, really finishes the project off nicely
I use Dap all the time! Just a weekend warrior, but it has always been my go to for caulking and wood filler!
That base looks amazing. Glad to see you have DAP as a sponsor!
Marie, your instructional style is one of the best out there. Thank you for sharing this. The design is clever.
Thank you, very much appreciated!

Look really nice, I could build one like that to replace my broken metal one 😁

Great project! Thanks for the video. Had you considered adding feet to the legs? Sometimes that could help prevent wobbling if the floor is not flat.
Yes indeed could add feet. Figured I would do this after if necessary.
Very fine work!
Nice build! Thanks Dap Canada!
that came out amazing!

Design is a very subjective thing. Happy to put out ideas and let others adapt as they see fit.
I really like that you only painted half of it.
Caramba, simplesmente perfeito. Parabéns.

The contest rules indicate US residents are eligible. (Mind you, if it's $100 Canadian gift card, that means about $70 south-of-the-border ;-) .)
@@jeffbaker8808 Thank you for the info Jeff.
@@jeffbaker8808 That's right, open to 🇺🇸 and 🇨🇦 ! Home Depot gift cards can be used in both countries and will use the currency of your country.
Open to US residents too! And yes, you can totally cut these joints without a dado stack. Hope you give it a try!
Enjoy your vidios (Australia)

I'll admit I loved everything about this saw up until I discovered this flaw.
Great tutorial, but the random rap music while gluing is an... interesting addition...
Haha guess I was in a mood after hours and hours of editing 😂
Question: I bought the Sawstop tablesaw based upon your usage of it, but... My saw has a LOT of dust when I use it. How do you keep the sawdust down?
Do you have a dust collector? I have a 1200 cfm dust collecthooked up with the overhead dust arm as well.
What make model mitre saw you have plz
DAP
can u tell me what software you use?
The design was made in Sketchup
