HE SA yeah I guess now Federal ammo won’t put a bounty on my head. I’m really looking forward to see what others find in the way of ammo. From what I can tell .223 ammo is pushed out the door quality is no concern people will buy it and that’s how it goes. This .308 was right on the money and what I had come to expect from federal.
This is a great video I watched today I figured I’d share it.. Since it’s along the same topic with good reasons why today’s factory ammo is so bad and reman and others is superior. ua-cam.com/video/WOcGjpTayjk/v-deo.html
Just curiosity but...Kev, I wonder how they'd look on a concentricity gauge? I've never done a box-O-store bought ammo there, actually don't know what to expect and I don't remember buying any store bought in a long time.
ocean374 maybe they just don’t care about .223 for you and me and simply feed us the rejects. We are the dumping ground for the junk the military rejected I’m assuming. Until they get their shit together I’m staying away from their .223 and 5.56 ammo. There are better options.
Okay I’m thinking and that’s dangerous. I think the variances in the weight could be the brass, or the charge, I believe it’s the brass. I’ve seen so much of a difference in the same brass over the years it’s not even funny. If they went to the trouble of getting everything thing else that correct, I’m sure they did with the powder charge as well. The difference in the cantilure has got to be a difference in where it was cut on the bullets. You’ve already established that the COL is dead on, and the cases are all the same length, no way would I pull those 2 bullets. All that’s left is where the cantilure is cut. All that ammo needs is to be shot!🤣😂🤠😎
JH586 to be honest I really can’t complain about the cannelure either it wasn’t that huge of a difference. It might in this case be the bullet cannelure themselves.
