with the temps you are mentioning i really think you should try slow or extra slow reducer in the basecoat and a slow activator in the clear to get it smoother it may prevent you from having so much orange peal from the clear and base drying to fast in the air making it rougher

DROP COAT =USE SAME PAINT PRESSURE JUST ADD MORE REDUCER AND USE QUICK STROKES (FOG OUT THE STRIPES) RAISE THE GUN A LITTLE AND FOG IN ANGLES , NOT THE SAME OVER LAP YOU PAINTED THE CAR

Depends on what you're using. Waterborne paint you're having to drop the pressure between 14-16 psi.
20 to 14 pounds for a drop coat. Each gun line is different. The fluid doesn't atomize if your pressure is too low. That's where you get the texture. That and the more layers you put on the more texture you'll have.
