- Replica Dutch Barge - Bolberry - Offered for sale at £214,950.00
An opportunity to purchase a unique boat for extended cruising or liveaboard, Bolberry was commissioned by
its current owners in 2007 from Bluewater Boats Ltd and has been lovingly and meticulously maintained
regardless of cost.
Designed by Blue Water Boats Ltd following the lines of an original Dutch Barge Luxemotor with a distinctive
sweeping curve running through the length of the hull and featuring a traditional curve at the stern, Bolberry
really does catch your eye on approach.
Summary
The deck space has been well thought out with substantial mooring bollards at bow, mid ships (at wheelhouse) and stern. A handrail follows the contour of the roof on both the fore and aft
cabin, ensuring a good hand hold as you walk around the boat. The fore deck is home to an electronically operated hydraulic anchor and winch, a large storage compartment and gas locker for
the boat. The front cabin roof has a mast with anchor light and horn on, a plug to attach a tunnel light, escape hatch, chimney, and a pigeon box with cover over. Navigation lights are on the
cabin sides and stern.
Entrance into the boat is via a spectacularly hand-crafted hardwood collapsible wheelhouse, featuring full height stable doors on both Port and Starboard sides. The wheelhouse offers a
commanding view over the vessel with the helm encompassing all the boat controls, seating is provided with a dinette which converts down to a single berth and is a delight to be sat at taking in
the surroundings. The wheelhouse is fully collapsible for navigation under low bridges. Steps lead down to the main cabin.
Entrance from the steps down, (storage under), into the well-equipped galley with cupboards under and worktop above, cooking is via a new world hob with extractor above and new world
cooker under, sink and drainer sink with general tap over and a drinking water tap, with filter, to the side, plus there is an under-counter fridge in the main galley. A freezer and washing machine
are positioned in a service corridor just off galley.
Through to the main saloon area of the boat with free standing furniture (negotiable as part of the sale) with large pigeon box above which opens for fresh air if needed and is removable should
larger items need to be put onboard. Oak bookcases and cabinets are to starboard side and two large radiators to port (8 radiators throughout the boat). A multifuel stove and feature display
cabinet are to the fore. Corridor goes through to the bathroom with full size shower, wash basin, heated towel rail and a macerating toilet which pumps into a holding tank, plus oak shelves are
port for storage. Through the corridor with emergency escape hatch above to storage area with hanging space for coats and storage cupboards to the fore of the boat.
Service corridor off Galley with freezer and washing machine leads through to the main berth of the boat with a fixed double bed (storage underneath) with radiators cleverly hidden in its sides
with skylight/escape hatch over and oak shelves either side, fixed double wardrobe and fixed chest of drawers and space to put loose draws and linen basket. A door which leads to an ensuite
with hand basin, cassette toilet and a heated towel rail. Behind the headboard there is further storage which also houses the emergency tiller. This area also contains the hydraulic steering
mechanism and weed hatch.
Back through the service corridor there is a door through to the engine room, designed for easy access for maintenance and there is ample room to navigate around the engine, generator, and
other boats systems.
