- Now that Capcom has finally released Resident Evil 7 exclusively on the iOS platform, I will test RE7 on both the iPhone 15 Pro Max and iPad Pro M4. I will show graphic settings; test peak temperature, and discuss battery usage.

Remember to use runestone and change in the config.ini to false the chromatic aberration, grain and set to fixing120 the fps. i changed also one or two lines more to false or none. You can tweak more the .ini and set the raytracing at 0 instead of lowest. for me its working better than in this video, i cant see my fps but theyre more than 60.

Quick reminder, I did not use a fan in this video. The fan that you see at 9:29 is simply a prop to keep my phone standing while testing. Remember, a MagSafe fan cooler needs to be plugged which you can clearly see it is not. Hopefully this clarifies any confusion.

The iPhone 15 pro runs it at a lower resolution than the ps4 and Xbox one which run at a locked 1080p 60fps.
@@oo--7714 But the screen is smaller, so dont need that 1080p to look good
With the M4 you can set it to balanced instead of performance and still get close to 60 FPS with max resolution as well to make it look slightly better. I believe it switches it to variable. All of these settings are adjustable within the text file like the previous games. Wish they had the same level of control with the graphics settings like they did in RE Village within the app. Either way game looks fantastic and is well optimized.

It’s the game mode! Because I tested it and there’s like 10% more fps when it’s enabled and less heat!
Yes he said in video. The fps is capped at 60 so iPhone can’t go any higher. Plus it only peaked to 35c. iPad was 31c 🤯
Basically game mode limited background activities. What if you switched off game mode and turned off background tasks. Will it be the same as turning on game mode with background task on?
@@reda497 on my iPad m4 I play while watching UA-cam in PIP while game mode is on…game mode only turns off the Neural engine.
@reda497 it's not just limiting background activities, it's changing prioritization too, making the touch screen more sensible etc, so you can't just reproducate it manually by just limiting the background activities, it's a bit more complex work order changes in the background too.

Excited to see the Resident Evil 2 Remake iOS port! I have been really tempted to get the iPhone 16 Pro Max this year. But it’s hard because I solely use Android.
Give it a try! I'm also an android user, but I'd definitely use an iPhone if they were cheaper. You can go with the new 16 base just to test it because apparently all the 16s models will have the A18 bionic.

I run Re2 remake and RE3 remake on my M2 Max running through crossover patched with Cxpatcher thru steam and I run the game on max settings with a glitch here and there but it runs awesome.
This game is literally the only one that has good performance.
@@oo--7714RE 8 and Alien Isolation run perfect. RE 4 runs well especially on iPads, but Assassin Creed on the other hand run at dismal state. Its more then just one game from my count ;)

I have a question, how do you install the game outside of the AppleStore? We know that to view "Graphics Hud" you need to install the Game (Application) on the PC, but I don't know where downloading the .IPA File could help?

I love how Apple was not in the gaming scene for years... Then magically as always all the Apple devices produces some of the best experience in the gaming scene haha
On my MacBook Air M3 I'm having a lot of fun with Minecraft (with and without shaders, heavy modpack ecc...), a lot of emulators (Cemu and Yuzu in particular), and some roguelikes... I love how I can play for hours with no fan noise, incredible battery and manageable heat.

The fan isn’t on. It’s a prop to keep phone standing up. Every fan needs to be plugged before working.

please it would be much more accurate if you said total 2,3 megapixel or so instead of 720p or 900p because its very misleading and doesn’t tell the actual performance

both are 900p but the former is 1.7 mp the latter is 1.2 mp which is like 40% higher resolution!

Yes but this isn’t the point, the point is you now have access to PC games on your mobile device. Your phone is literally a piece of tech you take everywhere and use for so many other things besides gaming. Hencewhy, this is an amazing feat as AAA pc gaming is just an additional feature ontop of the many features a smartphone has

Like i said Android/Google needs to take a page from Apple and bring this native to android, right now Resident Evil 7 Gold Edition runs at 60fps at 720p on my s24 Ultra the full pc version of the game using winlator in my opinion that's far more impressive android emulating windows and running a game so well that's not even optimized at all, and many more, Resident Evil 2 and 3 Remakes run pretty good, Halo Mastercheif Collection, Crysis and the list goes on, ofc Apple cant do this but still props to them to bringing this fantastic RE franchise mobile
It will never happen, becaue developers don't like to work for free (piracy is a huge factor on Android, which take away the renevue from the developers.. just check the renevue difference between Apple app store and Google play store.. and note that Google has about doubled amount of active users, still only earning half of the Apple store, and the store earning is the 30% cut off from the price, which mean if the store renevue is lower even the remain 70% for the developers are also a lower value...)
@TamasKiss-yk4st apple is just overpriced, asking for the apple tax on top, o don't believe that's an issue, the zfold lineup or even the s23u, s24u ultra etc the top tier android lineup is just as expensive an the iPhones depending on the market, I'm pretty sure we wouldn't mind paying for a game on play store or even Galaxy store, but yeah so far we have emulation for free and we pay everything for free, its not as solid in performance due to winlator or mobox limitations but I'm sure if we had a solid android port we wouldn't mind paying to get a better gaming experience, if there was a reason for me to get an iPhone, this is the only one, the RE franchise is awesome, great move by apple, we android users also want quality gaming

This game is not fps focused. It was gonna be better if you focused on graphics
Graphics mode or balanced is locked to 30 and less demanding than performance mode at 60 fps.

It's great that they make a port on IOS, although they are only limited to the iPhone 15pro and pro max, while on Android it is possible at 60fps in 8gen/3, and 30/40fps in 8gen1 and SD888, PC version without cuts or optimization so see the difference in raw power (snapdragon) vs optimization (Apple)

I don’t think developers will launch more AAA games on iPhone seeing lack of interest and paid users. Until it becomes massively hit or they find other ways to earn 😅
No in actuality iOS is getting many more upcoming ports. So far we have RE2 Remake, Assassin's Creed Shadows, Sniper Elite 4, and Prince of Persia the lost crown. There are rumors that Apple will announce more games this September. As far as the earnings report, it is only showing the half truth. Devs themselves said during their keynote that porting to iOS has been a success hence the numerous RE titles. Remember, these games are limited to just the iPhone 15 Pro series and iPads with M chips. These are very few devices. Thus, earnings were never going to be in the millions - very similar to Skyrim when ported to every console and device lol. Whatever Apple is doing is working (paying devs) and ports just keep coming. Hopefully Samsung and others can do the same
@@DameTech i read this on gsmarena, may be dev can earn more by launching on Android as worldwide android constitutes 70% users. But most are low end devices. So these games will remain exclusive to premium segments only. Also android users will never pay, just download modded version😂

@@thend.OResident Evil 7 is a standalone game, it’s not connected with any previous RE game. You will be introduced to this story in-game, it has own story. Maybe you made a
mistake - RE Village is a sequel to story from RE7.

lol no fully true. I can emulate the game on my RedMagic 8 Pro. I think we can get 720p and locked 30 fps. And this is the PC version, not a downgraded version. But yes, I would rather have the ported version than emulated as emulated version kills the battery and generates too much heat.
