Thanks so much for all these classic races. I love this channel. If I had to pick just a few UA-cam channels to have, this would definitely be one of my choices. Thanks again.
DAMON BRADSHAW WON 10 RACES THAT YEAR. SOMETHING THAT HAD NOT BEEN DONE AT THE TIME. AND YAMAHA WAS LETTING HIM GO AFTER THE SEASON. HE DOMINATED THE SUPERCROSS SEASON AND IN THE LAST RACE HE DIDNT EVEN TRY TO WIN THE CHAMPIONSHIP AT ALL. IF HE WANTED TO WIN THE CHAMPIONSHIO FOR YAMAHA, HE WOULD HAVE WON THE RACE. PERIOD. HE WAS PISSED AND DIDN'T GIVE A DAM AND DIDN'T EVEN TRY TO GET INSIDE THE SPOT IN THE RACE THAT WOULD HAVE EARNED HIM THE CHAMPIONSHIO. STANTON WAS A TRUE CHAMPION OUTDOORS AND IN SUPERCROSS. BUT BRADSHAW GAVE THAT CHAMPIONSHIP AWAY PURPOSELY. AND STANTON GOING AROUND WITH THE 1 FINGER STICKING UP BECAUSE HE WON THE CHAMPIONSHIP ACTUALLY MADE HIM LOOK LIKE A REALLY POOR CHAMPION THAT YEAR. LOOKED LIKE A NERD RIDING AROUND LIKE HE WAS NUMBER ONE. AND YEA HE WON THE CHAMPIONSHIP. BUT NOT BECAUSE HE WAS NUMBER 1. BECAUSE BRADSHAW HANDED IT TO HIM
Bradshaw's crash at Indy made all the difference. He only scored 2 points there when he could have easily scored 18 or more. Then all he would have to do is finish this race and he would be the champ.
he just did a race at Pleasure Valley Raceway PA with Travis Pastrana Mike Brown Doug Henry Mike Jones. its on facebook. ua-cam.com/video/oTLeRJrSRU8/v-deo.html
Dude the track was nothing but steep wall jumps and the rockers were mini jumps, there’s no way you can that fast on that track even with today’s bikes
This video focused on only Damon Bradshaw who was behind his set goal most of the race. Why was it pushing for Bradshaw and not Jeff Stanton who actually won the race and the title? That's weird as hell
In the summer of 1993 I had a chance to beat Jeff Stanton, on a Mt. Bike. It was at Yankee Springs Michigan, a great 13 mile loop back then. I had a cool Carbon fiber Kestral of the early days of a carbon Mt. Bike, but had a beginner friend riding with me that day on my spare bike. He snapped a chain before we took off and I was fixing it on the ground. The it happened, Jeff and about 4 of his friends rode by us to start their ride, and Jeff was checking out my bike on the ground, (which kid of blew me away from a Factory Honda rider). That was the only summer I was going very fast on that trail, but I could not leave my buddy behind. Man, I would have loved to beat Jeff there. Not sure if I could, but I sure wanted to try. :) Doug in Michigan
justin cassidy Jean-Michel BAYLE GREAT CHAMPION, world champion motocross + US champion + ride ni grand-prix vitesse ni 250cc and 500cc THÉ GRÉÂT CHAMPION ( I’M not sure for my english,I’M french)
Well, compared to the 2-stroke days, nobody is passing either. FIM Cookie cutter tracks that everybody has wired after 10 years of racing them. The scrubs are not as effective today. Not like James on the 125. Barcia's technique may be just as good. Jump letting the front drop more, and panic rev it to keep the bike evened it out. I think the freestyle high handle bar set up today is funny, and dysfunctional.
Lets face it. We had more talent with 2-strokes and technical tracks like this, (oh yea, we were the best in the world too.). It seems to be a catch 22 type of thing. I dug the bike competition development in the 70's to 1986. It was like a race in itself. But the 4 stroke is easier to ride, they make great power for hooking up to the ground, the pull a gear much longer than a 2-stroke, so the tracks got fast and smooth. It was all done so the EPA could push the 2-stroke out of the market (failed because the market is resilient, because it is our lives). My question is, if this direction continues of bikes getting easier and tracks getting easier (it is a different and more dangerous skill though- 30% faster), if bikes get as easy to ride as sitting in a Lazy Boy Recliner chair, will we all be bragging about how much skill we have?
The points were a joke. No fucking way you win 9 and another wins 3. And it's that close. Should of been 25 then 20 for second. Points bullshit to keep it close is bs. No benefit to winning.
No brain? Watch his interview on the Whiskey throttle show. Damon has a better brain than most kids graduating college today. Today, more than half the pro racers are seeing shrinks.
@@JosephDredd31 yes... Jeff was hard working and driven competitor. To me that is not boring at all , as pressrolls states , It is very appealing and inspiring.

Thank you so much for these valuable gems ... thanks!
Man these old track were GNARLY compared to the super smooth stuff they put together now.
They will go down in history as the 2 greatest motocross anouncers.
This track was brutal. You don't see this type of track nowadays

I was there that day. So tough to watch for Bradshaw.
Stanton truly great rider legend,in a time when there was so many great riders,
JMB t’es le meilleur pilote, champion en MX , en SX et à piloté en grand prix moto VITESSE ,et personne n’a fait ce que JMB a fait,t’es le MEILLEUR
Honda Cr's most beautiful motocross bikes ever made !!!
🤔
Stanton was the man. No one gives him credit he is due. 3 time supercross champ.
I will continue not to give him credit he's a clown!
@@vindarm how many sx/mx titles did you win oh thats right none cause you are the clown
@@turbotorana4336 haha good comeback tubo, I didn't know Stanton had any fans I would have to say Bayle and Bradshaw were more talented riders.

Still can't believe Damon Bradshaw didn't get this title!
Bradshaw crashed hard the week before at redbud and tore his ACL. And has never used that as an excuse.........

Nothing like SX in the Coliseum 🥇
Best MX era ever IMHO✌
Right. Great bikes. Great AXO gears. And so on...
My opinion is that the best MX era was the 1980's. .... But no complaints with the 90's !
14:52 Pretty sure Mr. Honda did not like seeing that.
Job was the best I ever seen back in them days he was as fast on the last lap as he was on the first laps in the outdoor mx
McGrath said in his book wile with team Honda, Stanton was a trainaholic wile JMB carved his initials in the mointanside with his bike.
Always liked Stantons riding style. He had such good body position on the bike.
I will never forget that race and how Bradshaw lost the title...😢
I love how the gear company's are bringing back these same gear styles with a modern touch. I've always loved the bright colors.
Tracks were so much more technical back then!! ?
Predicted Bradshaw unless he just blows it . Well , he blew it .
Got on here to comment about how knarly this track was and some beat me to it 😂
Enjoy your last win ever Stanton. Next year MC takes over.
stanton did win again after this, not a title but he did win a race.plus he could still beat MC in the outdoors
I always liked Bradshaw, but at times, he was his own worst enemy.
So crazy how MES packs stadiums now a days. that place was empty for a final round
There are days on a bike when you’re not feelin it. Obviously Bradshaw picked a bad day to not be Feelin it. 🤣
Bradshaw choked. Then he left Charlotte NC in shame. Hasnt been seen since.

Because Damon was leading in the points into this last race. All he had to get was 3rd. He choked. Everybody expected Damon to win. That's why.
Tracks like this is why they wore kidding belt’s back in the day 😂 & Factory Teams now & Then from Box trucks to Semi Tractor Trailers
1:09 WOW! he jinxed him.
Classic 2 stroke race 🏆 changing of the guard🏁

Me and Bradshaw would like to do 1992 all over again....
A lot of that track had no flow at all. Bayle coming into the pits and laying his bike on the ground was a bitch move.
How tf does Jeff Stanton and JMB look like brothers

JMB I never liked. He always had an attitude problem.
