How to scan the Plantar Fascia - Ultrasound

VINNO ULTRASOUND: Sonographer Milton Delves demonstrates the basic technique for scanning a plantar fascia using ultrasound.
In this video the VINNO V6 portable diagnostic ultrasound system is used.
Step 1. Position the patient in prone with knee and ankle flexed to 90 degrees.
Step 2. Scan he plantar fascia in longitudinal, starting at the calcaneus and working towards the phalanges.
Step 3. Turn the probe in transverse and scan the length of the foot again.
Step 4. Active colour or power Doppler mode to check for signs of neovascularosation
