I am quite novice on this sounding universe and I did enjoy your three videos serie that explained a lot! Thanks for your time and sharing your knowledge. Cheers from BR
Thank you for the excellent 3 part series on setting up the Behringer UCA222. I recently purchased this unit to use in my car. I connected an Apple Camera Connection Kit 3 (CCK) to the lightning port on my iPad, connected the Behringer's USB cable to the USB port on the CCK and connected the optical out at the back of the Behringer via a Toslink cable to the optical in on the Digital Signal Processor (DSP) in the car. It worked beautifully. I then connected the car's Alpine head unit via a pair of RCA cables to the RCA input on the front of the Behringer and moved the monitor switch to the on position. I expected the Behringer to convert the analog signal from the RCAs to digital and convey the digital signal via Toslink cable to the car's DSP. But there was no sound from the system. I wonder what I did wrong. It is kind of important for me make this RCA to Toslink connection via the Behringer as connecting the head unit to the DSP via RCA is generating a lot of noise in the system. Thanks a ton in advance for your help.
Good to read some experiments. But, the UCA222 converts USB to RCA and USB to TOSLink. I have not seen any off-hand RCA to TOSLink devices. Few TOSLink to RCA, yes. So UCA222 will not work as you expect in regards to RCA to TOSLink. One possible way is to use an app that listens to RCA via USB and return to USB to TOSLink? Not sure. P.S. Monitor switch is for the headphone output selection.
@@RecordingStudio9 Thanks for explaining that the UCA222 won't allow RCA to Toslink. I had earlier connected a cheap analog to digital converter from Amazon which had RCA in and digital coaxial (not Toslink) out but that also produced noise. Thanks once again for replying and the excellent videos that you have been making.
Thanks for this video, but I need to know if I have Behringer UCA202 USB, also I have my guitar and amplifier and for sure my laptop , how can I record using UCA202 ?! and also what cables do I need for this process, Thank you in advance
Thanks for the driver! I finally get an input signal in Audacity! It didn't work with asio and i dont know why Behringer removed it from their website.
Thank you for this review! We can listen tracks on the audio sequencer and record a new one in the same time, for example a solo? I ask this because I have a mixer USB from Phonic, the Celeus 100 and It can't record while listening tracks from computer because It reloop the audio from PC and insert It in the main mix, It has not monitoring options for USB audio...I can solve wih the Uca222! thanks
The mixer is a Phonic Celeus 100 For me it has a nice sound and a good multi-fx With this mixer We can record only one master track with all the instruments at one time, I can't listen the tracks and recording at the same time from the daw because it hasn't the separation from monitoring/listening and recording...
RecordingStudio9.com infact is not possibile and then I have to use an external USB audio card connected to this mixer, only for little works not using my Umc204hd. I think the uca222 is not bad, I hope is not noisy like my old SoundBlaster USB (not noisy for hiss or hums but for electronic interferences moving mouse or typing on the keyboard), I would like to buy the uca222 for use with my mixer, do you think is a good idea?
@@RecordingStudio9 but I'll buy the UCA 222 soon and see what's my result. Cause I was thinking do I need a UCA 222 u controler ?.I got my m audio 49 key station, my desktop, my behringer 1202 mixer,my mics, headphones ,speakers etc..
So I have a non usb mixer and then the behringer uca202 audio interface adn my xlr mic. Do I have to have speakers for my mic to be allowed on my computer ??
Hello Thanks for the video. One question: I would like to do this; connect my guitar to a mixing table and connect this to the UCA222. Then I would like to connect the UCA222 to my pc and use GuitarRig 4 to make my sounds and play live. Is this possible, would there be latency and should I connect the PC or the UCA222 to my amp? greets Kennet
Yes, there will be some latency, as the sound will travel from your mixer to UCA222, A/D convert and feed to your PC, then into GuitarRig4, be AmpSimed, then back to UCA222 for D/A conversion and into your Mixer. You can use ASIO4ALL driver to minimize latency.
Thank you for a good video which is very helpful :-) I unfortunately have another issue, I setup everything as you have said but everything sounds like I am in a tunnel 😬🤣 Please help us if you can.
Hi I have Behringer UCA222 Audio Interface + Behringer Xenex802 mixer and sound is crap... lots of white noise with silent instrument sound... What I am doing wrong... Please HELP!
What type of microphone are you using? Generally, the mixer itself is not the cleanest at 110db. As with UCA222, A/D has 89db signal to noise ratio. Your best option is to have as loud signal source as you can before clipping, to lower MAIN and minimise noise going to UCA222.
Hi Thank you, I was trying to find a Studio One Prime link to download, but there is not a free version of it, there are some FREE TO TRY, but there are some limitations, can you post a link to download a full free versión, or maybe you can post a short video using a full free software like AUDACITY, please, thank you!
Hello, can we do the zero latency trick on this one also? I've seen it on one of your previous videos here. Would this still work with Xenyx 502+UCA 200? Or a minimal latency is unavoidable? I'm going to decide on buying one depending on your answer.: ua-cam.com/video/9w9ovvHmlEc/v-deo.html

Thank you for the demonstration. It did clear up a mystery about a small box from Behringer which seem to be without a reason foe being.
Thanks Vee, this was super helpful! Thumbs UP as always!
Thank you very much! It was very helpful! I have one of this device, and I didn't have any idea how to use it, but you really get all the points.

Which one cables I will need that from Behringer UCA222 U-Control to
Alto Pro ZMX52 5 Channel Compact Mixer ?
You can use 2 sets of RCA to RCA leads to connect to the AUX In/Out of Alto to UCA222

Probably not, as most DAW don't support multiple audio interfaces at the same time. What model is your Phonic mixer?

I'm very grateful for this video, I'm gonna get an UCA -222 cause my mic dropping signal from my mixer when I try to record a vacal its very low .
Not sure UCA222 will help you. What microphone and current mixer are you using?
Behringer 1202 and condenser newer 700 I'm using
How do you have the 1202 mixer connected to your PC now? Direct to the motherboard sound card line in?
Out from mixer to in the headphones to the desktop and from main room out to my monitor they are Av 32 m - audio speakers
