Mine did the same thing . So i just ordered a whole new mac mini. But id still like to fix the other one .

Was your symptom that when you press the power button you hear a brief whirring sound and it stops right away? That's what mine is doing and I just bought a new (used) power supply and I'm about to go through the pain of swapping it. Maybe for nothing.

@@350kph Ah. That's a bummer, then. Cause it's like it wants to start and immediately gives up before it even gives itself a chance. So now I know what I have to do. Mine's a 2011 and I have my wife's old 2012 sitting around after she got a new M1 MBA last year. I'll take both drive assemblies out and swap them. I'm hoping it will work and at least get me one OS level higher than I could have gone with mine alone.

I actually have that problem... mi mini mac just didnt turn anymore and doesnt even make any noise.. thats why Im thinking is a power supply problem.
