The moment she heard the emperor's adviser call his name, she could feel it in her bones that it was bad for him to go and so she took his place, without hesitation.

Mulan 2 I like. Because it deconstructs the typical flawless Prince Charming gets Princess to fall in love with them. Mulan's three soldier friends found love with the princesses by being themselves flaws and all. An all around good message if you ask me. Also Lesson Number One is a good song that shows it's okay to be strong but still have moments where it's also okay to be afraid of something. Mulan 2020 however, I don't have anything good to say about. They disrespected the animated source material and cut out all of the characters damn near. Botched the soundtrack and the fact Mulan had Chi? Total cop out. In the animated movie Mulan was smart, used quick thinking and out of left field but still applicable strategies to secure a victory. She never had any sort supernatural ability to harness Chi. She used her skills she had learned and her wits!

Movies back then were absolutely magical, in storytelling and scope. The beautiful scores were final icing on the cake 🎂. The Disney Dudes video is in the side-bar so I watched it after reading your comment. Hilarious. But the Li Shang guy sings the alternative version of the song (which in my head I call the 'creepy stalker' version), not this version (which is the one from the credits), which saddened me. But a funny video anyway, so thanks for inspiring me to watch it. :D
That's what I was like xD. It was a video of guys dressed up as Disney princes singing boyband versions of their songs and I was like "That guy's gotta be Li Shang" and he started singing this and I was like "I don't remember this song 0.o. Maybe he's not Li Shang?" AND HE TOTALLY WAS OMG xD
