Happy holidays mate! Thanks for the shout out too. Interesting stack. I didnt know too many. I remember Lush tho. And I need some Sisters on vinyl too! Galas is great. Cheers
Thanks Jason. Yeah, not many VC-ers have Diamanda Galas in their collections....I recall a story somewhere that record store employees would put on a Diamanda record close to closing time in order to clear the shop of customers......😂Loved the Shoegaze era, then came Grunge......🤑Cheers John D.
Cheers Brian. Yes, you can tell I'm still rather rusty when doing videos.......Good to hear I'm not the only one chasing Blue Nile, and Sisters Vision Thing wasn't released locally here, though Floodland was, so that ups the difficulty rating......
Cheers Bryan. Happy new year to you, too. Do you have that Crystal Set LP? I don't know anyone who does, but they sell fast when listed in record stores, so someone is buying them........
@ No, I don’t. Had a chance a couple of times, but the price was ridiculous. Ended up buying the singles of ‘Thrive’ and ‘A Furious Mess’, which has ‘Some Attention’ (my fave from the album) on the b-side. I think that Crystal Set are criminally underrated (or unknown). Like you, I intend to champion them on my channel, just got about 10-15 more Church album reviews to do! I also quite like Bhagavad Guitars. But, I’m not obsessed with all things Kilbey! Promise! 😎🤪 Cheers, mate! 🙏
I remember a 1990 record store trip where I had discovered Rhino had finally retrieved all the songs performed on the Rutles special “All You Need is Cash” and put them out…but on CD only, no vinyl version was forthcoming. It’s time to right this wrong with a nice, properly done double album. ( The less said about the original 1978 turd offered by Warner Brothers, the better.) This one is a no-brainer for Record Store Day, which means they’ll never do it.
Ah, the Rutles. I know someone from my school days who was a big fan. True, RSD is past its use-by date; I've never been interested in lining up for hours for the upteenth reissues of well known artists - so many lesser known acts are ignored on RSD.
@@downundertuneage3875 Wait in line? Anyone that doesn't have an "in" with their local store to save items for them ahead of RSD needs to brush up on their social skills.
Thanks. Yes, I'm beginning to wonder if I'll ever see an Aussie YTube channel showing Lush, though I have to admit I'm happy having them all to myself!!!
Happy Christmas also for you!
And so many albums I didn't know.

New to your channel happy holidays

Hi John, I wish I had the Blue Nile album on vinyl, too. I got the 2016 repress of Vision Thing! Merry Christmas 🎄 Funny end to the video.

Fantastic video, and great to see The Crystal Set getting some love. Bloody difficult album to find! Thanks and Happy New Year! 🙏

The first thing that comes to mind is the 90s Brian Jonestown Massacre albums. They have been reissued so I guess I don’t want them that much.
Heard of BJM but don't have any of their material. Cheers John D. Oh, and have a merry Xmas and a great 2025👍

Wow!! Very interesting. Some fantastic records there. I know loads of Aussies and none of them are Lush fans. Good on ya!!
