It’s not that good if they would have made the armor reduction in line with the other 2 star damage gems it’s would be good but for instance at rank 4 pain clasp and fang gives you like 13% damage increase vs 9% damage taken for that new gem and it’s only 10% chance. Not to mention it’s 20 sec cd. The only advantage over other gem is it allows your group to get that damage increase from reducing enemy armor.

damage taken increase is stronger than damage dealt increase though, since theyre different buckets being multiplied and you got a lot of damage increase from every source *adding* up. Say with all your gems, magic affixes, reforges you got +200% damage increase for a skill / primary. . give it another 10 and you got 210, meaning your dmg went up from 100%+200%=300% total to 310%. 310/300 = 3,333% more than before 10% damage taken increased, given the target had no damage-taken-debuffs before, takes those 300 and adds 10% of that, becoming 330 - equivalent to, in your case, a damage increase buff of 30% (adding to your other dmg increases)
Everyone is already using mothers lament as a filler untill they spend for 5* gems. I am currently using rank 7 mothers lament untill I get my frozen heart to replace it with 😅
The disintegrate build seems buffed now on pvp with many essences. Would u recommend this with pain clasp, mother lament, abiding and combination of flagellant + new green set items?
Disintegrate has one big issue, not good in close range combat and monks,Necro,barbs,crusader, all can rush you fast. So I am in works right now trying out different builds. Will come up with something soon.

As if they run towards me, ill just spam teleport and run back 😅 I use black hole for the last resort to cc them. But yeah pretty much monks eat me alive... Cant wait for your new build, hopefully includes disintegrate Thanks man!
This is a good gem better than pain claps and mother's lament. Why are you against with doable essence on all gears to balance the game. Because some players only using main hand and off hand as their primary skills are the one benefiting with this.

I was thinking maybe it will be better with new set. But still heavily rely on 1 skill for Wizard. Maybe better for WW barb.

You are better off with Mother Lament, now even the max out whales are using it in PVP.
I fed a 4* rank 5 chip to my rank 10 lament lol it’s better than any gem in the game. Crits > a couple hundred reso
