The National tree of Scotland.
Planted a couple of Scots pine about 12 years ago there 30 + feet high and attract red squurels and pine martens and all sorts of native birds good video dude.
Awesome! Such impact in a short amount of time!
Of course I'll leave a like 😉 I migjt have that pine tree. I thought red squirrels were only native to New York, I have a few in my yard. I love your stoats (ferrets).
yes red squirrels have wide range! thank you!
I didn't know the US had any red squirrels apparently you have the American red squirrel which appears to be a reddish colour with some brown tones the European variety feom what i can see is mostly red with big ear tufts with white tummies this may be because grey squirrels mix breed with the reds the UK only ever used to have red squirrels until the grey ones were introduced feom America
Nice video
🌲✌️
thanks for watching Kalana!
I'm struggling to id my pine tree. it has flaking bark similar to a scots but the needles (in 2's) do not twist and seem longer and yellower than a scots. really got me confused. Great vid by the way
hmm are the yellower needles consistent throughout the crown? it may relate to the age of the tree or some physiological issue. Perhaps its a Corsican pine? let me know if you get to the bottom of it.
Where can I buy the seeds of that sir? I want to plant it at home... I'm from the philippines
Online possibly, I don't know much about buying seeds in the Philippines... find an avid gardener or arboriculturist
great video, helpful for id!! as a terminology note, conifers are non-flowering plants (i.e. gymnosperms), so it isn't technically correct to say that pine cone develops from the female flower (:
I try with the technicalities but not always right thank you Mel 🌿
