American sycamore is so vastly different I'm amazed. I've had to take down many of these in the city because they grow so big. The seeds aren't samaras but more like the chestnut seed.

Hey Josh, do american Sycamores have deep and strong root systems. I have a huge 100 foot tree on my property that if ever toppled would wipe out my house. Love the tree, but fearful. I live in Southern California. Thanks!

@@Cedar1956 I don't think I've ever seen a sycamore topple over here in michigan if that clues you in. Plenty of evergreens and some maples but I've yet to see a sycamore uprooted.

@@Cedar1956 if it's healthy I wouldn't worry so much. If it's got tip die back and other problems like big cavities then call an arborist.

I wondered about those winged seeds. Very informative. BTW do you know what spikey bushes that are invasive? Its like a fast growing weed, sometimes has red tiny berries, my friends call then snake berries. Im from New York if location helps. Good video 👍

Hmmm invasive spikey bushes with red berries.. could be something from the cornus family, perhaps this - Cornus Canadensis
