Glad y'all came through in fine fashion, Geoff. Really surprised at the few trees down (and really glad you're looking up). Thanks for showing both overflows, kinda fun to see ponds that will never fill be full!🤣Thanks for sharing your journey.
Rain and great Storm, always a Dsngerous affair! You have Luck, the Rain have not great flood make and the Storm s pair rotten Trees to fall down and a little Cabin. By the Mansion, You have the Incorrect Time beginning. Thanks for the Interesting Video 👌
It was great watching you get out of your Haney-mobile to emulate Speed Racer's sidekick Chim-Chim and climb all over your monkey bars trash rack. You got to get one of those short 4', 4-tine garden weeder rakes to remove floating debris from your trash racks. On the small pond I already suggested tying a nylon rope to the rack and rake which would let you easily lift off the rack. A metal spike on the handle end of the rake would let you stand the rake up above the water to not be a mowing problem. At any rate, you should have a rake like this in your Haney-mobile when you make your storm aftermath rounds.
Mango Bango Bongo the Duck Mafia has officially become a mob taking over complete control of the small pond. I'd be surprised if there's any fish still in it 😮 Looks like that storm damage was as you'd expect A little flooding, tree branches all over and only one structure actually destroyed. It's an outhouse so no big deal there. Nice Sunday afternoon episode to watch Geoff. I'm surprised that your little ones weren't helping on cleanup duty. Must be a school day when you filmed this one.

But, it's gonna be pretty freaking cold , I know that for sure !! Over here in my neck of the woods anyway... Western Ky... Have a Great Day Geoff !! Got to go dig my long draws out !! lmao....
Mr Bealy Good - Sir…. glad to hear everyone and everything is ok within reason - the chickens did seem a little flustered very vocal. Take care stay safe.
Here in NE Nebraska, we've had about 20 inches of snow since Tuesday and now 30-50 mph winds and will be about 20 below tonight. Equals 50 below windchill. Will be hybernating for a few days! Nice you got by with relatively little damage.
Bealy it is good to see that you all are safe and no major damage. The weather is something that we cannot control. Things are taking shape and prayerfully will get better. I hope you'll get your footers poured soon. God Bless to All.
You have an explosion of green at the pond! All the hard work paid off. There was supposed to be severe weather in the east central part of Alabama, but it either come through at night or wasn't much too it. I had one old fossils down but it was dead anyway.
It’s just amazing to me you still have greenery in your life. I know it’s climate lol, makes me want to move. We got rain, then about an inch of ice, then around a foot of snow. The next day it got up to 40; which made driving worse because everything re-froze. The high today was -6, and tomorrow the high is -14.
I see you didn’t have too many trees down. I have been to the factory that makes metal decking. They take a coil steel and run it through the machine, like a giant pasta maker. I hope they let you video the process. Have a great day.
Been watching you from the very beginning, and all I can say is we admire your grit and determination and all you have achieved, it’s clear also your a very clever individual, love watching you content, it takes me away from my troubles at the moment, in the process of moving home and people say it’s the most stressful thing you will ever do and man it’s true , obstacles seem to pop up everyday.all the best from 🇬🇧 🇬🇧 uk
Forecast was harder that we got it in N.Fla. only had 1 inch of rain but the wind Did blow. Only had 2 trips to pick up branches with the FEL on JD 2025R. It was more like the beginings of a tropical storm - then the temperature drops.
So looking forward to the concrete pour and start of your house construction - will you have any construction on the 90 acres, or is this just property for sale?
You need to change the dock so the boat can sit undercover and you can just jump on from any side and it’s also protected from rain but is always in the water.
Hey buddy how is the temperature there freezing here just had a snow squall 2 days ago and down to -11 at night and only 6° during the day. Lil plug in heater sure isn't doing the trick so we also have 2 propane heaters going to stay warm
You may have heard this 1000 times already but you need to pick yourself up a 3 prong garden rake or a decent broom stick and put two or three long deck screws at the end to grab the weeds and debris from your trash racks
I don't know why, but in my minds eye I was thinking it made its way into the cape fear. lol. it must be the movie that's kind of stuck in my head. lol, lol. all water ends up in the cape fear headed to the ocean. lol, lol, lol.
Chris, i would trade you your weather for mine any day. It was MINUS 49 F and with the wind chill it was much colder here in Edmonton the other day.. Anchorage Alaska is 1935 miles north of us and they were just Minus 5 F. My car won't start and some of the water pipes in my house are frozen. And to make matters worse their is lot of homeless people living in tents still

Mr. BG you are crazy to build a pond that big. It will never fill up in a million years much less flow over that giant outflow box. You are just wasting your money on this project! What do they say now? Crickets?

The pipe under the road with riprap near the dock did its job. Chris sure knows what he is doing.
Trash rack pull out the big wood, just drop the little piece of wood into the hole. They will pass through, and you do not have to handle then twice.

Thanks Geoff
Glad you made it safe, I can't believe how nice everything is looking now with the new green grass and everything full of water.

Monday into Tuesday in middle Tennessee we have a chance of 3-4.5 inches of that white stuff. Im fine with that its the "0" degrees im worried about.
Thanks for the video Geoff. I'm surprised the kids trampoline didn't blow away!

It would be cool to follow that overflow ditch to see where it really does go.
Awesome video great live content you have a very nice looking place and the new house is going to be badass looking over the pond.
seen that boat underwater before. why not get some pool noodes and make bumpers so if it gets full it wont go under?
You need a walk plank to the pond drain so you can walk out to it easier, then you can have a door right above where you clean
Can't wait for when you guys start the new subdivision acreage.

So far seems will probably build 3 houses

Them trees that blew down looked like they had been trees for about 10 years too long.
Yup

It’s been mild here. Stay warm!
How ya gonna hold the concrete on the vertical step-ups?
Cross boards
Remember if my message came at dock pile/deck Therefore dock never floods😊 connection could allow for a floating dock
A small (deck) step against that drain????
There’s rip rap right under the water. Just hard to see.
Are those homes a few feet from your new home occupied by family members?
No. That’s the back of the subdivision. The closest one is about 300’

Yes, but less
where does all that water go?
