Whilst the synthesizing process for coming monsters becomes exponentially unstable, so does the program I utilize to rope together this single remix.
This remix may not be my most ambitious but it is absolutely my most intricate. Sporting over 120+ individually mixed and balanced tracks. My monitor is cracking at the seams and my Deck is loosing its Steam whenever I want to edit this damn mix! This is an extreme record breaker and a true testament to my oh so profound mixing prowess. I know, I know. Hold your applause. There’s far more to dive into…
Now Bi-tauter-ous actually look like they’re from the game. Duh. Which honestly, hey they have themselves a good rhythm and honestly, I’d say they’re like bulbo tier where they don’t add much but they still add that slight tinge to the rhythm that actually is pretty nice. Like say… that ‘YAH HAH’ in Lady Gaga’s ‘Paparazzi’ song. (Ya’ll know what I mean.) Honestly, this might sound crazy but… I think it just might be my favorite monster on the island now just for its first track. Idk why it gets me so good.
It’s who you know, and a someone I KNOW lent enhanced audio for Rizzler-myth. This is an ongoing test, and may not exactly be subject to much change. This new tie lends itself to peculiarly well done releases in the future.
Rhysmuth was a very special addition to workshop I’ll say. Not only is it a jamming unique percussion, but it also makes this island the BEST looping one we’ve ever heard. Not only that, but it’s immensely creative, unlike any monster we’ve ever seen, and it’s just so… SOOOO well animated. Hot damn this guy is way up there for me. Every single quad has been one hell of a hit…
Well… almost.
Listen, to me, Oogiddy is ALMOST S tier. Its DESIGN IS HOOORRRRIIFFFYYYING for msm standards but so beautifully at home for the unstable likes of the Workshop. Damn. It’s delightfully disgusting and oozing with (more than just) charm in my eyes, and it’s animation is as smooth as butter. Like, EARLY WUBLIN ISLAND tier smooth animation. It’s astounding.
BUUUUT… the sound is NOT amazing. It’s GREAT but NOT amazing. It’s a sweet ass tinny percussion that the island could’ve used honestly and it’s beat patterns are delightfully funky and just off the mark of the main beats enough to be a song changing addition. It’s hard to describe but it’s cymbal crashing sfx (if you can call them that) are in a fantastic jazzy pattern when you really listen to em’. Although sometimes it kinda’ can come off as just ‘noise’ there can be that much going on at a time…
Welp… I guess this is it. That’s finale for ya’! So looks like that’s the end of this remixing endeavor… Hm… Not as grand of a finale as I expected but hey, this was one pretty solid island! I’d honestly give it a hard 8 with its great mechanics and even greater designs and song. I haven’t felt this content about an island in quite a bit.
Will the Workshop denizens ever be able to sing with their lesser elemental numbered counterparts?
It probably won’t be anytime soon… but who knows..?

I LOVE the callback to Ethereal Island, with Ghazt, and Whisp playing at the end, playing as Auglur, and Whaill respectively!
I also enjoyed the small percussion solo during the buildup to the last few verses as well!
And of course, the use of Veido’s gnarly castle bass midway through the song!
The auto-tune you added to Blarret’s second track is a bit off-putting, but other than that it’s nice that you just bridged onto the original ending you had! Saving up Nitebear’s echo for extra during the climax was a great idea. Oh and using Veido’s custom bass for the climax too! Awesome!
Whatever you did to Rhysmuth to make it sound like How It’s Made is perfect for the island, and the additional echo on the first track is excellent. The minor rhythmic change to Teeter-Tauter’s third track to make the WHEEE align with the beat drop was real smart. Oogidy is loud and splashy and nasty and works great with your build up to Auglur’s second track. And of course, that Ghaztly rendition of Auglur’s melody was highly unexpected! I can’t wait to see what you do next with… whatever you wanna do. I remember you made your own custom mix of Cave Island way back when, have you thought about updating it?
After carefully reviewing my cave remix for… 3 seconds… yeah that thing is as good as buried and should for sure stay that way!
Doesn’t help since it is in my old program and is indeed for sure lost.
Side note, thank you for acknowledging all of these little details I do in my remixes. It what makes this whole ordeal very particularly worth it. I’d expect even smaller details like the ‘WHEEE’ or the echo on Nitebear when everyone is playing to be harder for people to spot!
That’s honestly my favorite thing about people remixing as islands release, hearing what they change about the main song, and then seeing what they change about their own remixes as time goes on! Shame about your Cave remix, I did like that one. If you ever decide to remix an old island, I’d love to listen!

(cesar they're likely adding the quint considering there is unused code for a quint option in the synthesizer. this is not the end of ethereal workshop. i will edit this comment later to make it a review of the remix)

@@C_to_the_S Okay, it isn't much, but I've got like 3 notes.
1) 1:44 is... a lot. Too many monsters. Its clutter is weird, especially compared to the final verse which had more clutter in the original msm version. My idea is to maybe make Rhysmuth gradually fade out so you can actually hear the cool Gaddzooks transition.
2) The verse at 3:33 could've been a bit more different than the verse beforehand. I just want like a little eensie weensie bit of percussion before Rhysmuth and Pentumbra come in! Maybe have Vhenshun track 1 quietly play to have the verse feel less repetitive and ramp better into the next one.
3) I think the song probably could've ended at 5:09. Ghazt playing yet again doesn't feel like it adds anything, just... unneeded prolonging of the end. Whaill ending off the song makes Workshop end on more of a bang compared to Ghazt slowly whimpering the song to its closure. It just really feels like it's not contributing to anything interesting. Plus, the actual song ends with Whaill too, so... yeah.
Besides that, the structure, mixing, sound edits, all super impactful. Let's go Cesar! One more monster until this is all done!

The new version compressed the vocals a bit, and added a few extra effects/mimics

@@trentthepsychicHonestly i like that this uses the old sound, i feel like it gives it more flare. The workshop is already lacking “real” vocals so i think pentumbra’s voice standing out is a great thing
