IVe been through the demo project and that’s exactly the type of locomotion I was looking for. However, I’m a bit concerned about how complex it is to add melee attack to it? What would be the base workflow? Because I’ve tried to add melee animations to ALS and that was too difficult already 😅
Hi, I'm trying to follow the step-by-step instructions from the video. I've completed all my animations using the Motorica plugin and successfully performed the retargeting, but I can't find the CHOOSERS folder anywhere. Is there any specific plugin needed for this? Or how should I create those chooser tables?
motorica studio shows up but when i try the ik retargeting, the models don't show up and when I select the same ones you have in the video, it freezes on loading the models and then Unreal crashes with it happening consistently
I've been trying to make an afraid style motion matched run for my character. Hopefully this helps? I've tried with a few different products from the marketplace and it's been challenging to get a nice result. I'm tempted to give this a try.
as with anything on unreal marketplace, you should be able to use it in your commercial game or project made in UE, but you're not allowed to download it and put it back on the marketplace as your own asset. That should be the case with any asset on the Unreal Marketplace.
@@poxh Oh, that's strange, which chooser table? You could try reloading the asset from disk (right click in content browser, Asset Actions > Reload), and try fixing redirectors in the LocoMotion Matching root folder as well Just to confirm, you do have the chooser plugin enabled?
@@KelechiApakamai already tried reloading it and it worked. The issue is that i need to adjust my ABP. Yes the chooser plugin is enabled. For more context i have my own project where i enabled it. I have to main issues that i found after starting it via visual studio: VerifyImport: Failed to find script package for import object 'Package /Script/Chooser' and VerifyImport: Failed to find script package for import object 'Package /Script/ChooserUncooked'
It it, but motion matching still requires setup, assets, etc. It's not magic. The above video shows how to specifically use Motorica animations with motion matching in Unreal, which is useful for those who aren't aware of how to generate and/or use Motorica animations.
it is motion matching, but how do you wanna make newa nimations for a movement in your game? how many animations you make and so much more. if everyone just copies the unreal animations all games would look like assasin creed 1-120
