In this video I will show you how I painted a bordered flax flower painting using metallic watercolors for the border. This is a simple and easy painting for beginners to try. I have listed all the colors and paints and supplies I used in the video. I will also share links here:

Very lovely technique - you are very talented. The gold border ups the prettiness to another level. I love adding little Easter eggs to my (not great) paintings like gouache, impasto, metallics and white highlighting as well as embossing powder and even glitter - just a touch here and there as a little surprise. I’ll never be a great artist, and having accepted that 😢, I’m having fun.
