Hey Jon & Jenna, I've been watching your show for months now and have learnt so much. Sadly I cannot join in live as live in England, so sleeping when your Live. Your show is not only Informative & encouraging but is so important to people that tune in. Your very down to earth people and I thank you and will keep watching and learning from people that know what they are doing.
There is a lot that goes on with showing up on search results. This can range from many things like Promotion level, account health, your item, your pictures, your keywords, age of your listing... the list can go on and on. You may not have the item listed in the correct category. For example, I had all of my sports headwear and apparel under a basic mens/clothing/hats category and my eBay rep told me I should have them under sports and souvenirs/sport league specific (like NBA, NHL, NFL, etc.) I was still getting sales but since I made the change for all 2400+ items, my sales are selling even more than they were. This is just an example of a reason my items might not have shown up in some searches and now are showing up in more who specifically are looking for a certain sport league, team, player, etc. My sales are up 10.7% month on month. Summer "speed up" is here for my store!
Yeah I am glad to hear that Jon has handed over the label printing to Jenna. Jenna is now the shipping queen. Your lunch with Grumpy John was very informative and Jenna , Grumpy John Speaks very highly of you. He is a wonderful resource to have. I'm glad that you guys have a new friendship.
I saw Jenna's face after the comment about, "Hoosker-Do's and Hooksker-don'ts". This is a callback to the movie, "Joe Dirt". It's really funny. Recommend.
Yea, but how long are we supposed to wait for "AI" to catch up? Do t get me wrong, I sell between 5-15 items a day with an average 30-40 per item net per item consistently. But, maybe eBay needs to stop, stand back and wait till AI is more developed before trying to implement it on their platform. Because honestly, as a whole, the sellers may feel like they're the ones losing in the long run, but for the investors (which I am one also as well as a seller) AI is costing more money then it's making. Which, when it comes to profit and loss year to date, isn't worth it.
Exactly. Clairvoyance should not be a requirement to be an eBay seller. It isn't our job to "guess" or figure out how to "game" their system, our job is providing good items and customer service. All of this is just a waste of valuable time for buyers and sellers. It is high time for them to be transparent about their search and how it is manipulated, no more relying on speculation.
Selling about a year, 400+ listing, I sell everything, averaging 4 to 6 sales a week average. Listing every day. Lots of days with no sales. Processing shipping within an hour. Constantly tweeking. I think I would not get the sales I do if I was not constantly working at it. Hopeing it's just summer. Just always afraid of loosing Top Rated status.
Set down to have my coffee and a bagel to learn about eBay Hiding Listings. In the first 5 minutes of this video, it is about Jenna being ripped open a toilet next to her bed and Jenna's ex-husband wiping her ass all the while John is trying his best to downplay it, with tension and a slight wince on his face. I still don't understand why this has relevance to a previous video in this video. You said someone was sensitive but aren't you being sensitive to their comment so much so it was brought to this video to tell us to not be sensitive. All the while my stomach is turning and I lost my appetite while I got sick. I can not get these visuals out of my head. I love when UA-camrs make it personal but this was too much for me.
eBay is not the library of Congress... It is a sorting algorithm . If you create a search for let's say" Levi jeans" a computer algorithm picks a limited amount of "best match" results. Also it's a known fact that poor sellers have their listings hidden...

We have no control over it. Focus on what you can control and you will get through it.
