Just so all of you people know out there that every garage door sold these days that uses a spring installed on an axle it is supposed to have a spring lock system sold with the door. This is a brake system that will stop the door from closing if the spring or 1 of the wires breaks. This brake is normally part of the bracket that the spring is bolted to. If your door was not installed with 1 of these brakes please contact your salesman or garage door distributor.
Hey RGDMan - I am trying to understand what it takes to make a jackshaft opener work with Cloplay door with low headroom tracks (reverse wound drums). I have seen some videos where it has been done.. I am looking for maximum height clearance for lifting cars underneath. Do you know anything about making this work? I did read one comment on a vide where someone said that they reversed the motor wires (on the opener board) to make this work..
That may work to reverse the wires on the board inside the unit, though having never done it myself, I can't say for sure...But in lieu of that it would need to be mounted up against the ceiling to have the unit Turing in the right direction, instead of on the wall like these are typically found
This specific one is the 3800P. The P means it has the 373P. The original 3800 has the 373W, and the 3800PLD has the 895MAX.
The newer 3800PLDs come with the 373P.
@@bradysgaragedoors That might've been the 895MAX though if it was in black.
@@Undercoverelevator212-s2nnope. I have a 3800PLD NIB and it has the 373P. You can’t get all your info from manuals.
@@bradysgaragedoors Just for the record, ever since I beefed everyone up in 2020, I’ve lost interest in these for the most part.
@@Undercoverelevator212-s2n Ok? Dont remember asking.
