Wow and I learned something new today! Never knew some pots were made without strainers. I'm not coffee pot collector (think I have 1!) and certainly never saw it in a teapot. Very informative! Thank you!!!
So much for all the great tips on how to serve these tea sets and how to protect the wood tables by putting a trivet underneath the tea pot or the coffee pot to keep it from making the table hot and leaving a mark
Thanks for showing the detail about teapots vs. coffee pots. I have several RA teacups, but no RA teapot. My favorite would certainly be Highland Thistle. I love it because it's different. I'm not interested in the rose patterns - they are pretty, yes but not my cup of tea lol! Thank you for showing your beautiful collection.
Thank you for your tips! I like the idea that you using it. I use my RA all the time and people love it. I feel that my guests deserve it. Of course I understand that rare or very old patterns are for admiration only.
Love your videos! I absolutely agree that it’s so wrong to shame people over things like whether a piece is a coffee/tea pot, and everyone should use their pots for whatever makes them happy anyway! But I hope it’s okay to share that coffee pots (at least the fine bone china kind that we all know and love!) actually can have a strainer on the inside. The coffee pot’s shape is tall to keep the grounds in the bottom, and because the spout is low and curved the internal strainer used to be part of the pot to help keep them from going into the cup, back when coffee was actually brewed in these types of pots. Obviously the strainer wouldn’t work with today’s finely ground coffees, and today we brew very differently and only serve from these gorgeous pots! :) But of course it can be used for either beverage, and my first Royal Albert piece was actually an Old Country Roses coffee pot, which I happily used for tea for years. I really feel like it can be advertised either way, and it’s far more suited to tea as the strainer’s original function is now completely defunct. (Edited for length and rambling!)
Amazing collection! I'm so pleased I found your channel. Know I'll be watching all of your videos! Always so interesting to me what and how people collect and how they construct their core of what should be there at the very least!
Wow ... 🤩 😳 😯 absolutely love this. I will share this video to my friend who love also tea set / coffee set .. im so excited Madam for your next vlog ..im so amazed GRABE
Maybe next time in the future you can run across a teapot a little more reasonable and you can afford it. We have to budget ourselves. Thank you for a great tea collection to enjoy and I’m sure I’ll be watching your channel from now on
I am so glad I found your channel I love collecting tea pots also of course mine is nowhere near as big as your collection mine is very small but you have some beautiful tea pots they’re really enjoy checking out what you have collected
some coffee pots do indeed have strainers so larger coffee grounds don't get through, it depends on the age of when it was produced as they just stopped putting strainers in a lot of teapots and coffee pots but the larger ones are indeed coffeepots and the shape indicates what it is intened for. Short teapots are better for loose tea to swirl and bloom, taller pots are better for coffee to let the grounds sink to the bottom and each were created with that purpose in mind, strainer does not indicate it being made for both but people can use it how they please.
I thought I was a collector you were blowing me out of the water I don’t know how you store that big of collection you have probably more than what most stores have
Hi where do u buy ur things from? I just started getting an interest in collecting, a small collection atleast, but I don’t know where to start, do u mind telling me where can I get mines from?
Newly subscribed 🤩 and learned something new 😍 thank you for the info 💖✨ I had the chance to wash my tiny collection of pots last year at the beginning of quarantine, but I can't remember whether my coffee pots have strainers or not, need to check when I can 😊❤️
oh wow I'm a lightweight collector LOL! I think $100 is a lot (and I"ve paid that a few times or several few times LOL!) but I can't imagine $1000! I love to use mine though and I'd be afraid of using one that expensive though I was in the same boat with quilts as I'm nervous using the quilts I paid $1000 for.... so I turned lightweight!
Wow!! What a wonderful collection! 😍 Thank you so much for sharing your time to show us your huge collection of tea sets.😱 I'm a beginner and planning to start my first collection with Polka Blue Patterns. May I request something? 😍 Can you make a review of Royal Albert Polka Blue "Tea For One" set? Please. ❤ One thing is for sure. I will be your forever FAN AND SUBSCRIBER!!! 😍 Keep on inspiring! Stay safe! 💝
I luv your tea sets! What room do you display your sets.? I was thinking of displaying mine in my living room since there is no space in my dining room.
Thank you! They’re actually all over the house. 🤣 But most of the china are displayed in our suite/recreation area. For me, as long as they are safe, you can display them anywhere!
I think the reason why they had changed Them is so that if you have less or more ppl that you could use ether one for both I collect China I love it 😻 lol 😂
No if I have the money to collect up to what you have I have a very limited teapot collection and most of mine are very inexpensive you have some beautiful sets there and you have spent a lot of money but I can see there are more than worth it
I’m so jelly of your collection 😍😍 you’re a true inspiration for RA collectors. May I ask, what would you consider a good deal (price) for a trivet? I know different patterns would have different values, but on average what would you say is a good deal? I think I may want to start collecting them too ☺️
Question, how do you use all your royal albert are all safe from lead? I know royal albert is better quality but are the older ones safe too? I would really like to know i have some vintage trio sets 💕
I want to buy old country roses tea set and a dinner set kindly tell me the prices of both and also 6 extra tea cups with saucers. Waiting for your reply

Thanks, Silvia! 🥰 Depends on the pattern but I would say a good deal for a trivet would be around $35.
Question, how do you use all your royal albert are all safe from lead? I know royal albert is better quality but are the older ones safe too? I would really like to know i have some vintage trio sets 💕
I'm so sure about lead in Royal Albert. As long as they are damage free, they should be safe to use. I don't recommend using any damage pieces though.
I want to buy old country roses tea set and a dinner set kindly tell me the prices of both and also 6 extra tea cups with saucers.

My China set is Dimity Rose so difficult to find pieces.
I am selling a large amount of Dimity Rose on Etsy at the moment. Heirs Vintage.
Dimity Rose - one of my favourites! 😍 Have you tried Ebay or Etsy? I’ve seen a couple of pieces for sale there.
I have a Royal Albert 'country Roses' clock...
Please help me to be a collector, where to buy Royal Albert stuff
I would be terrified to use rare China to feed fifty people..breakage, and collectors...footmen would keep an eye on the collectors....
I have a teapot, no lid...where I find one?
Can I find one...thanks sperl chik
Have you tried searching on your local Facebook Marketplace or on Ebay?
Not yet, it is Prince Albert ' Country Roses'
Those handles look a bit fragile...
