Good to see a smaller attraction. They need our support, just like the UA-camrs do. Support small businesses.

That was fun to watch. When we were kids (we're in our 70's, now) we used to *run* up the shallow side of Stone Mountain. It is an easy walk and doesn't take long at all. Of course, walking down is even easier.

I've been there! Years ago with my mom, brother, and sister. We hiked up that dang thing because I was too scared to take the tram. No regrets - the view from up there, it was like being on another planet.
I always laughed that between two days, I hiked 3 miles. A mile up Stone Mountain, a mile back down, and a mile through the underground passages to Ruby Falls.

TheDailyWoo to answer some of your questions, an old river boat is sunk at the bottom of the lake, and the crevices are made by either erosion or lightning sticks but has not ever been confirmed. Let me know if you have any other stone mountain questions. And if you ever come again be sure to look for the two abandoned river boats we have, one is at the marina rotting away and the other is on a dry dock and is occasionally brought out for filming for the Netflix series Ozark. :)

I grew up in Stone Mountain and was born in Tucker Ga. DeKalb County . We moved away in 1979 when my father passed away . I have a lot of memories there . I still go back to visit once in awhile. A lot has changed over the years . You can go to , " Remembering Stone Mountain on Facebook and there's a lot of story people share about when they lived in Stone Mountain. Most of my dad's family lived around Stone Mountain also when I was growing up. My husband and his family is from there also. Glad to see you all were having a great time . Thanks for sharing Adam !!

I was visiting stone mountain once, and me, my cousin, and my friend thought it'd be a good idea to hike down the mountain while the rest of our party took the cable car back down. It was so bad. None of us had phones because we were like 13 so we couldn't even call for some one to pick us up once we got to the bottom, and we didn't have money to take the bus that circles the mountain, so we had to walk all the way around the mountain to get to the park in the front. Probably took us two hours. Anyways, great video! I always love seeing videos of places i've been before.

I remember going up Stone Mountain on a church youth trip to Georgia back in 1997. It was ridiculously hot that day. I probably had a couple of miles or more left before I would have reached the top. I ended up walking back down to the picnic area and chugged a couple of cans of Nestea Tea. I don't think they had a sky ride back then.

I need to go to Stone Mountain. I bet during the fall the view is absolutely beautiful from up top. That animatronic dinosaur is a lot friendlier than the one at Universal. Loved the gag reel at the end. The guys were trying to confuse you by switching places continuously I guess. 😂

Where was the Dinosaur Park? We were at Stone Mountain probably 3 or 4 years ago and I don't remember seeing that at all. We went in January and it was so cold. They had tubing and such. We are from Florida so no thank you, we weren't into that. Had a blast the rest of the part though. There were a bunch of really cool plantation Era houses right there set up for tours. We really enjoyed that. That part wasn't directly I the park of I'm remembering correctly, I'm thinking it was adjacent to it. Wish we had stayed to see the laser light show that night on the mountain.
