Conan, Thank you for the opportunity to showcase my music...And a big thank you for showing me how to master standalone, which is how I work, MPC-X. Don't worry, you haven't lost a client!! Big thanks to Kirk State for being a pillar in the Hip-Hop community for decades!!
Yo kirk and manitee. I noticed those were a kirk beat challenge samples. Ain't Conan a pro resource. Where do you sell your beats? And kirk... Shipping up Nord yet 😂 Got another track for you to check out if interested?
Boooooooom! Thank you, I have been looking forward to more mastering videos. As you said, it is not a full replacement for actually hiring a mastering engineer, but you can close enough.
Class was in session I enjoyed that and will use as a reference. Thanks for showing the possibilities in standalone I have a million plugins on the computer but your opening a different door for mpc standalone with the workarounds please keep em coming 👏🏾🔥🔥🔥
Yes that helps a lot. As a mastering engineer I do try and help the artist or label get the premaster as best as possible. I feel this should be part of the service. It definitely helps to get the 110% from the track if the premaster is in a good place. I just add the cherry on top and that is what mastering should be. It is not about polishing a S**T lol
Once again, I don’t ever wanna hear anymore talk about these MPCs today not being up to the task of making great sounding music because they’re not from the 20th century.
@@TheCratesMotel EXACTLY. Awesome video man. You know, maybe one day you could do a video in your mastering studio and show us how the real stuff works too. I think that would be dope.
Man, this is fantastic. Thank you for sharing. Immensely helpful! Really want to know how to become a better mastering engineer in the One. I usually use Audition to get my masters where I want them, I just need to know how to master for clarity and openness, minus harshness and with a warm balance - that 90s boom bap vibe.
I have them both and I love them both for different reasons. It’s honestly about personal taste and form factor preference. Under the hood, they’re the same. I use the One the most because I shoot all my videos with it, but I love the portability of the Live 2.
@@TheCratesMotel I’m just ready to get one but I’m loving the one. I’m not a big portable person. But I like the live to. It’s up to my pocket now lol. Thanks for the response
Thanks Conan Ill try erverthing right away,
Best Regards from Germany.
Thanks for watching mate

@ 🫡 I had the Ts set for up north , it should be some on there later today
Yet another video where you stand head and shoulders above the rest by actually teaching us something!!
Thanks for watching dude

Yeh mate, I’m the same. Tooooo many plugins on my computer. I wanted to show what can be done with a simpler approach. Thank you for watching.
I love this Manatee guy by the way
Yeh man he is dope
Well, I'm loving you back!! Thanks.
There are some great tips here thank you
You are welcome mate

The best videos by you and also you make my favorite music
Thanks for watching mate
Dope track! Lots going on in it but it all works.
Yeh his stuff is like that. They all tell a story. It’s good stuff.
Wonderful tutorial, your knowledge is incredible, thank you.

RESPECT! Thanks Conan

Great stuff Conan!

Was already a good sounding premaster as well i think. Nice one!👍

@@TheCratesMotel 😄 I can imagine though that alot wouldn´t even bother with helping out and provide that service.🤌👍
@ I don’t want to name and shame, but yeh, it’s generally old school mastering engineers who still offer that kind of service. I’d hope so anyway.
Once again, I don’t ever wanna hear anymore talk about these MPCs today not being up to the task of making great sounding music because they’re not from the 20th century.
Haha yup 🙏🏼🙏🏼
Just because “they” can’t make it sound good, doesn’t mean it can’t sound good.

Yeh mate, it's a fine balance. Just keep practicing. Even the bad masters can teach you something. Keep an open mind and keep experimenting.
Nice!
Thought you would have some StereoWidth to open the highs but no.
That little box is a gem.
Especially with a touch of Conan polish.
The original master I did had some width on the highs, that’s why it sounds a bit more airy and open. But yeh, the MPC can keep up pretty much.
@TheCratesMotel Good to see I was not too deaf on that one.
Brill
My favorite word 🙏🏼🙏🏼
What about smeghead?
@ Yeh that’s a deece one as well, although I can’t say I’ve used it for ages.
Why do you need an DAW when you can go dawless? Akai is the best
Because daw is far more superior? I get what you're saying tho. Having both is great
@wm1573 I use the MPC as my DAW.
Took off my producer head but now I can't find my mixing head and I think I dropped my producer head off the table as well. How do I proceed
Haha get your “Find stuff” head on. Then have a beer.
I want to get an MPC just torn on the one or live. Help!!!!

@@joefire4265The Live has a built in speaker also which is a great feature if that’s something you may need / want.
