I've got 3k hours on steam and played for ab 5 years before downloading it on steam, so as someone w too much experience i can say watching some of your first vids to now you def a damn good player and got pretty fucking good at flying and using and abusing the mechanics, and you seem to actually understand wtf your supposed to do even if you dont always execute it perfectly but thats just warthunder lmao. So big props to you my mans. Glad to see more people that know wtf is going on back around again and bringing people back. I remember when Britain was added and now i have a fuckin f16 and su27. How things change ;)
For cas I recommend that if you’re against the ussr then you, first dive to the deck no matter what you have, next fly away from the battle field on either the left or right side; once you’re 5-8km out start to gain altitude and get above the spaa as you make you’re way back in. A 6km-8km altitude seems to work for me. If you’re not against the ussr then 90% of the time you should be able to climb off spawn and dodge any Roland missiles that come your way. In helis stay as low to the ground as possible as there’s a bug that makes it so that if you’re to close to the ground some radar missiles will not proxy on your heli. On top of this try to move away from the heli pad and out to like a hill or something and peak from behind that.
31:45 -- 32:25 is genuine how it feels to play this game sometimes. Sometimes you're a minor god at the game, sometimes you're just, decent, and sometimes God decided you fight the IRL armies that you're facing in-game. There's no inbetween at times, and that's probably why I still play this mess.

I feel like I should say you should try the T-55AM1 premium instead of going straight for the M1A2's. That T-55 is a good way to learn top tier ground combat, decent pen, good armour, its fast, and 8.7 USSR has an amazing line up. (T-55AMD my beloved) pretty much, its all you could want in a Tank, and its not hard to play at all
mabye a tip: mabye you don't fly staight up, insteat you turn to the right or left and fly a little bit and then go up, so you attack from the side, and then not everyone is waiting for u ^^
