If the receiving core is healthy with shep, Tate, engram, Barkley out the backfield, Slayton, Coleman, Latimer and fowler, thats not terrible by any means if you throw in maybe a free agent or 2-3 round receiver next year. They get that, and some defense with their 100 million in cap space and a lot of their draft picks then this team has a very bright future

If the receiving core is healthy with shep, Tate, engram, Barkley out the backfield, Slayton, Coleman, Latimer and fowler, thats not terrible by any means if you throw in maybe a free agent or 2-3 round receiver next year. That 1st round pick has to be a defensive player, preferably chase young. They get that, and some defense with their 100 million in cap space and a lot of their draft picks then this team has a very bright future

I was one of thew few that really liked this pick. You can go back through my comments from April if you don't believe me. Today we got something as Giants fans that we haven't had in 7 years: hope. This year won't be anything great because we have literally the worst defense in the NFL, but I'm very excited for 2020.
The fact that he didn't even have Barkley and still managed to pull out a win despite his best weapon missing and no defense was impressive.

The moment I took some time to do my homework on this guy, I knew he was very underestimated. 6'5, good arm, good vision, QB IQ and more than enough speed to run a RPO. Can't ask for anything else.
Same, after I watched some tape of his old games, he had a lot of pro qualities even with an abysmal O line and the worst receiving corps in college.
