Tiny Ninja heroes was one of the first 3 campaigns I ever backed on KS and back then I was projecting hard on my kids as this could potentially be a game to play with then. Turns out they are not asking for it. Also just like you, I prefer Tiny Ninja to Tiny Ninja Hero. The former plays within 10 mins but it's a bit too simple for my taste. The latter feels a lot like maintenance and upkeep. I think the turn structure slows it down. Since both players starts with almost the same team bit for the hero die, it's hard to outplay three opponent. My games of it were taking 30 mins and for that game length, I have other games I'll rather play. Thanks for the video
@@BoardGameCo TIny Ninja & Heroes feel so premium component-wise that it's such a shame that the game could have been more / better. It ends up being very underwhelming for me. I though the ninja theme would be enough to interest my kids, but oh boy was I wrong XD
I enjoyed playing Tiny Ninjas with my son. It was light enough that he could handle it and the different characters were fun, and we always enjoyed seeing who would draw “the legend”. Because of that I backed Tiny Ninjas Heroes and I also was not than impressed. Completely agree, not that interesting and I have found the games take way too long for what it is. The dice are great though! 🤷
Tiny Ninjas was one of the first games I backed on Kickstarter. It is still in my collection since it is such a quick fun little game. I passed on Ninja Heroes as the mechanics didn't interest me that much.

The Tiny Ninjas dynamic you described reminds me of the Flesh and Blood TCG. Lots of tension on every turn due to that card draw scenario.

Yep, basic tiny ninjas is one that I'd happily continue to play, except I find that my kids enjoy it but don't actually ask to play it.
