you forget listening to his music...I first saw him in 1960......and damn...he was drop dead handsome.......15 years later he was even better looking.....but I forget that when I listen to his music, which is pretty much most of the time,...going out to the mail box to see if his latest album has arrived.......
Everyone knows Gords hit songs and classics, but there are so many deep cuts on his albums like this song which most have never heard. This was released to radio in Canada in 1973, it was the b-side to 'Can't Depend on Love' but only hit #12 on the country charts for a brief moment. It's worth playing all of his albums in their entirety a couple of times each and you will find so many songs that will jump out at you that you either forgot about, or didn't previously know, and it's like a gift! I made my own custom 'best of' of Gords music for my car which is in two parts, 1966-68 which is 20 songs, and 1970-98 which is 37 songs, and i still left a bunch out that i will probably include on my next listen through.
Self reflection was his tool Concience was his guide Pondering the circumstance Of love and human pride Even now he wonders About what he didn t know Never once did heartache Ever stop the show
Another of his so many great songs that never got air time here in the States.

There were so many gems on his albums that people didn't know unless you were an avid fan.
