Chris, you are an amazing person. You do not need to explain whether you’re dating or not. It’s nobody’s business but your own. We are all here for you to support you and your channel and your life. I’m so glad to hear you are in a better headspace now than you were. Because that is very important. I try 3:46 day in and day out to keep my headspace in the correct space so I totally get you. You have goals and plans to make those calls and you constantly review them to see if you’re making them or need to adjust. You are perfectly healthy and you don’t need to have a relationship to make your life better. This is coming from an avid cruiser. Who’s never been married probably never will be married at my age. Enjoy life just the way it is.

But in the end you will come thru this a stronger person - and also know more of what you’re looking for in someone for the next possible relationship. *Life is full of growth. We met you on Odyssey of the Seas in Dec 2021 (gave you some NC peanuts). You were just as I imagined. Very nice and grateful for the support but also very focused on your job as the Casino host. You are cruising as a job and those that approach you should be conscious of that. No judgement from me; in fact, hope to meet the same Chris Wong in the future.
Being that we did meet you while you working aboard the Odyssey, we respected that you were running a "business" and had responsibilities to tend to. You were very cordial and friendly. I am sure when you are in the pub enjoying a pint with your pals, or visiting the streets of Spain, your have a different personality. Enjoy your life and good things will happen.

Chris: You have to ask yourself just one question, and answer it honestly. That question is: Am I living my life as I wish it to be for myself under the present conditions and at this point in time, or, am I living my life to live up to the expectations (whatever they may be) that other people have for me? Once you answer that question, you can proceed forward making whatever adjustments you think are necessary, or, continue as you have been, if you decide you are doing what you need to do at this stage of your life. One of the best things you can ask from someone is for them to be honest and upfront with you. Not sure in what manner folks mentioned this to you, but the fact you have been able to take that step back and see where things may be different is great. Mindfulness is difficult to master, but being observant and approachable are important steps. When people do take the time to let you know something is 'different' or has changed, then that means they care, even if the delivery may seem harsh.

A break up takes it's toll, and a time of grieving too. You work so hard and so many long hours. None of us has a right to "label or judge" the behavior and mannerisms of another human. You’re not able to entertain them when they catch you in the moment. This is expected and passengers need to understand that. Keep up the amazing work in the casino and on the vlog!!
You have a job to do when on duty. You can't be gregarious, overly friendly and upbeat all the time. Sometimes a job requires seriousness. No need to apologize. If people don't understand that you're working when they're on board then perhaps they need to step back and think about it.
Everyone has made some great comments - I will just say in my experience a Casino Host is not expected to be all engaging etc. They are certainly welcoming and attentive, but I don't think I would expect to see the fun-loving guy we see in the videos. And, after going through the pandemic, many people (including myself) have more struggles with feelings and emotions than ever before. I learned this, first thing, in psych nursing: “emotions are neither right, nor wrong, they just are.” So, if you’re feeling down, then you’re feeling down. It’s okay. After my first husband died, I wasn’t a happy camper at all. Eventually, time straightened that out some. Then I met someone and remarried. So, let your emotions come and go, eventually you’ll be feeling better and, in the meantime, just remember-emotions are neither right nor wrong, they just are.

Hi Chris I am 67 the best advice I can give you is always be yourself stay humble and at the same time be confident in yourself. Here's a true story. I have a friend that's a drummer. He got diabetes and lost one of his legs . He got a prosthesis and started playing again. He didn't take care of his health and lost the other leg. I was thinking man that's bad. The next time I saw him he had prosthesis on both legs and sitting in playing drums at a jam session. He made his mind up to enjoy life . Chris injoy your life my friend.

We all have good days, bad days, wooohooo days, and even days that are just plain crappy. When you are going thru tough times and really struggling, reach out to your support group whether it be family, friends, coworkers, and even those of us here on your channel. It is hard to not look at the past. Instead of fighting it, maybe just switch one word and maybe it will give you a new perspective. Instead of not looking at the past, find what you can learn about the past. Sometimes when you look at things from a different angle, you learn and see things from the new perspective that you never even thought about. Mourning does not happen overnight. Give yourself a break and take this time to get yourself together. The last thing you want to do is get involved in another relationship. Consider a few sessions with a counselor. Talking to someone else can be quite helpful and cathartic and may help with the direction of your life. Don't be too hard on yourself. As for the past, I learned the past is gone and nothing I do will change it. And the future hasn’t happened yet, so there’s no point in worrying about it. (PS the content of your vlogs demonstrates that fact well.) What we have left is the present! What you do in the present is the most important. What resonates most for me in this vlog is your commitment to do your best today to be the best host, etc. I have learned is by being the person I want to be on a daily basis results in people beginning to see me as that person. People set unreal expectations and forget that just because they see you on camera, at the the end of the day, we are all just flawed humans. We make mistakes and we have moments where we aren’t the best version of ourselves. Meet me tomorrow and you may get a whole different version of me, but whatever version you get of me is true to who I am in that moment. It’s just reality. Keep pushing on and keeping striving to be the best version of yourself. That’s all we can do. ❤

And, secondly, your on-screen persona and work persona are bound to vary - and, it's understandable there will be some days better than others, for both. We met you on Odyssey of the Seas in Dec 2021 (gave you some NC peanuts). You were just as I imagined. Very nice and grateful for the support but also very focused on your job as the Casino host. You are cruising as a job and those that approach you should be conscious of that. No judgement from me; in fact, hope to meet the same Chris Wong in the future.
When a relationship ends it's like grieving the death of a loved one. Takes time.
Being that we did meet you while you working aboard the Odyssey, we respected that you were running a "business" and had responsibilities to tend to. You were very cordial and friendly. Chris: You have to ask yourself just one question, and answer it honestly. That question is: Am I living my life as I wish it to be for myself under the present conditions and at this point in time, or, am I living my life to live up to the expectations (whatever they may be) that other people have for me? Once you answer that question, you can proceed forward making whatever adjustments you think are necessary, or, continue as you have been, if you decide you are doing what you need to do at this stage of your life. Ultimately, you need to do what YOU want to make your life a happy and fulfilling one. Best of luck in the future!

One of the best things you can ask from someone is for them to be honest and upfront with you. Not sure in what manner folks mentioned this to you, but the fact you have been able to take that step back and see where things may be different is great. Mindfulness is difficult to master, but being observant and approachable are important steps. When people do take the time to let you know something is 'different' or has changed, then that means they care, even if the delivery may seem harsh.

Chris, the passengers who mentioned that you seem different in person than on the blog are not realizing that you are working on the ship and have serious duties to perform as a casino host. You’re not able to entertain them when they catch you in the moment. This is expected and passengers need to understand that. Keep up the amazing work in the casino and on the vlog!!
You have a job to do when on duty. You can't be gregarious, overly friendly and upbeat all the time. Sometimes a job requires seriousness. No need to apologize. If people don't understand that you're working when they're on board then perhaps they need to step back and think about it.

I learned this, first thing, in psych nursing: “emotions are neither right, nor wrong, they just are.” So, if you’re feeling down, then you’re feeling down. It’s okay. After my first husband died, I wasn’t a happy camper at all. Eventually, time straightened that out some. Then I met someone and remarried. So, let your emotions come and go, eventually you’ll be feeling better and, in the meantime, just remember-emotions are neither right nor wrong, they just are.
No need to apologize. Continue to just be yourself. Sounds like some people had unrealistic expectations of the situation at the time of their interaction with you. Can’t wait to see the next vlog!

Hi Chris I am 67 the best advice I can give you is always be yourself stay humble and at the same time be confident in yourself. Here's a true story. I have a friend that's a drummer. He got diabetes and lost one of his legs . He got a prosthesis and started playing again. He didn't take care of his health and lost the other leg. I was thinking man that's bad. The next time I saw him he had prosthesis on both legs and sitting in playing drums at a jam session. He made his mind up to enjoy life . Chris injoy your life my friend.
Hi, Chris! I agree with the boatloads of people on your page; don't ever apologize for who you are. We all have our strengths and weaknesses. We all have good days, bad days, wooohooo days, and even days that are just plain crappy. When you are going thru tough times and really struggling, reach out to your support group whether it be family, friends, coworkers, and even those of us here on your channel.
It is hard to not look at the past. Instead of fighting it, maybe just switch one word and maybe it will give you a new perspective. Instead of not looking at the past, find what you can learn about the past. Sometimes when you look at things from a different angle, you learn and see things from the new perspective that you never even thought about.
From the comments I've seen from most of the people who have met you in person, you are a very sincere person. Please don't take the negative things people say too hard. Like I said, we all have sh**ty days.

Mourning does not happen overnight. Give yourself a break and take this time to get yourself together. The last thing you want to do is get involved in another relationship. Consider a few sessions with a counselor. Talking to someone else can be quite helpful and cathartic and may help with the direction of your life. Don't be too hard on yourself. I enjoy your videos even though I have no intention of taking a cruise. I have had my share of adversity and know how it takes up space in my head. As for the past, I learned the past is gone and nothing I do will change it. And the future hasn’t happened yet, so there’s no point in worrying about it. (PS the content of your vlogs demonstrates that fact well.) What we have left is the present! What you do in the present is the most important. What resonates most for me in this vlog is your commitment to do your best today to be the best host, etc. I have learned is by being the person I want to be on a daily basis results in people beginning to see me as that person.
