I'm intrigued by this Henry Greenly theory. I can imagine a scenario where Greenly says to Gresley, "could you give me your opinion on these?". Gresley then takes the plans to his office to go over them, over a couple of days. Then the break-in happens.
On topic of the headcode fact , the lamp being on the engine's left bracket was also the pre-grouping headcode for " light engine ". And since you could say S1 took place in the pre-grouping years ( like early 1920's ) this is coincidentally a little accurate. But not always.
This is what makes Thomas and friends special as said details help make the stories as realistic as Awdry wanted, unlike how that AEG Dumpster fire reboot ditches any logic whats so ever.
Fantastic video, really gave me insight into some of the more technical goings on that happened in the books+show. Where can I find those videos of Luke talking about the ballast, how the reverser and regulator work, and why Henry was such a bad steamer?
There’s video cards along the video. My intention was to add them immediately after uploading as always, but I was up waiting till 2 in the morning & naturally fell asleep
And yet there's still going to be people having Boco go on a turntable just so he can face forwards 🤣 seriously man I have it when people refuse to have characters with two cabs actually use that function
@@ScrapyardStudios Actually, where did you read the part about Henry Greenly drawing the plans that were stolen to build Henry? A lot of it doesn't add up. The thieves upscaled everything but his firebox? Rex and River Esx were built in 1923, did Henry Greenly somehow get the plans back after Henry was sold to Sodor? Am I just being an immature non-Railway Series Purist?
I’d recommend watching the original stream for it, but the way it works is that they were of course in a rush when stealing the drawings & wouldn’t have realised that they weren’t Gresley’s. They took them thinking they were for standard gauge &, again being in a rush, wouldn’t have thought otherwise
But could someone explain this to me? Can the engines drive themselves in the rws? Because Henry stopped in the tunnel and Gordon drove into a ditch, but Thomas crashed into the stationmasters house because Thomas couldn’t stop

Agreed.
I think the 'SKR' abbreviation is to differentiate it from the Southern Railway (SR).
Henry greenly theory does make sense
I never knew Boco had 2 faces
Aye sick video, glad to be a part of it man!
5:41: Wow! That looks remarkably like TVS Old Shape Henry. Impressive.
Thank you so much for making this video it’s always confuse me how Henry was able to take two trains forward when his regulator was on.
The man Slowking! He’s such a good guy, great video guys!
Thanks bro

I like passenger headcoades
In all at see, Duck is shown with a light engine code, just a fact btw
I know about Henry Greenly. I built a model of Rex and wrote on an undercarriage piece 'Henry Greenly was here'
Nice

Gotta be honest I’ve never liked the idea that the mainline diesels have two faces. I accepted as canon to the books but it’s just so weird to me
On one hand, it makes a lot of sense. But on the other, it is kinda bizarre
awesome video!
For the SKR vs SR logic, railroads like the Nickel Plate Road in the US used NKP, when I should’ve been used as NPR
But americans
@@ScrapyardStudios bruh
I gotta say, this was a really good Facts On!
6:58 Maybe because sr already stood for sodor railway or sudrian railway?
A lot of incredible and fascinating facts
Before henrys crash sir thopam hat could have give Henry Just a bigger Fire box not complitely rebuilt him
pog Facts
If Percy is depicted as Green caterpillar
What would he look like?
Look at ‘Dirty Objects’ illustration 5 & your question is answered
@@ScrapyardStudios
He look like Saddle Tank version of Adam Radials tank lol
But could someone explain this to me? Can the engines drive themselves in the rws? Because Henry stopped in the tunnel and Gordon drove into a ditch, but Thomas crashed into the stationmasters house because Thomas couldn’t stop
The way it works is that the driver opens the regulator & the engine either does or doesn’t respond. So it’s really the best of both worlds
@@ScrapyardStudios i guess it’s plausible
Logic ? What logic?
Fr lol
0:33 huh
What is the name of the song that plays in the background
Giants of Steam - Working on The Line
@@ScrapyardStudios thanks
Who was the better Number 7 engine on the Skarloey Railway? Freddie or Ivo Hugh?
I’m inclined to say Ivo Hugh because, ya know, Railway Series supremacy. BUT, as a different engine, Freddie is very good
What is the music????
Btw nice video.
Giants of Steam
Oh ok
Great video but the music gets a bit load at times
What is the music!!!
Wait
So Culdee fell engines have same logic as Mainline diesels
this video is great. plus how are things going
What’s the song at 0:27
