@@ericbiesma1439 basically on the cb400 until about 6800rpm one intake stays closed and after 6800rpm then a 2nd opens and the noise change you hear is that happening. Basically gives more torque at lower speeds and a bit extra grunt on the top end when the 2nd intake opens.

@@JakeG59 Wrong. Vtec DECREASES power and torque at lower speeds and RPM, because one intake is CLOSED. Common misconception about VTEC
