Hi, Saro! I hope you've been OK. I saw that video with the German Shepherd. I also saw one with a Pitbull, who was muzzled. Both drew question marks in my head. As I watched your video, you showed it takes time! Trust has to be established, I agree!

Thank you for watching. There is more than the eye can see when it comes to behaviour and we need to be considered of all.

Currently, I don't have access to dogs as I've relocated to a small town. It's crucial to understand that changing a reactive dog's behavior isn't solely the responsibility of a dog trainer. The key factors lie in the relationship between the dog and its owner. For effective change, the dog must trust and have a solid connection with the handler. My role as a trainer is to guide and educate dog owners, empowering them with the necessary knowledge. The magic happens when owners establish trust, a strong bond, and the ability to influence the dog's mood positively.
Reactivity often stems from these missing elements in a dog's life - a lack of trust in humans and a shaky relationship. Repairing these aspects is vital, and the time it takes to train a reactive dog varies based on how well these elements are addressed. It could take a month or even a year to see significant progress, emphasizing the importance of building a solid foundation between the dog and its owner.

@@SaroDogTraining I do have a wonderful relationship with my dog and he can sit faster than your dog and wait and be very friendly with everybody but when it comes to other dogs, he’s not friendly with them and my relationship isn’t working so that’s why I asked if you had a dog to demonstrate with
Sometimes the distraction is more important to the dog than the relationship that I do now
I’m hoping someday you do find a reactive dog that you could work with and I know you’re gonna say well. You don’t have a good relationship with that dog maybe you can help the owner with a reactive dog that has an excellent relationship with their dog how to fix this problem. Thank you.

Many dog owners face this common issue where distractions seem more important to their dogs. It's a clear signal to reevaluate the three essential elements I've discussed in my formula. Additionally, it's crucial to work with your dog in a controlled environment, gradually introducing distractions at varying levels. This strengthens the three factors, leading to better results when confronting challenges with your dog. Watching videos alone won't solve the problem; action is key. Instead of endlessly searching for solutions, it's vital to heed advice, whether mine or someone else's, and actively work towards resolving the issue. Remember, investing time in implementing solutions is far more valuable than endlessly seeking a magic fix.
