Ingredients:
350 grams of wheat flour.
Sift through a sieve.

1 teaspoon of sugar.
1 teaspoon of salt.
5 grams of dry yeast.
Mix thoroughly.
210 ml warm water.
30ml sunflower oil.
We knead the dough.

Lubricate the bowl with sunflower oil.
Cover and let rise in a warm place for 20 minutes.

I'm Sicilian.. My mother used to make a lot of bread with different methods for different types of bread.. when fresh cooked bread was just taken out of the stone oven..while still nice and hot..we'd then take 1 whole bread cut it open like you would when cutting a bun to make a sandwhich...then dress it up with some grated garlic, a sprinkle of sea salt.. and some good helping of genuine cold pressed olive oil my mother would keep in a huge green jar set aside by our kitchen.... we'd add some fresh home dried oregano too..that my father would grow and dry as he'd grow many other crops we'd use along with many other homemade foods...garlic was grown then braided and hung uo to dry..so it wouldnt go to waste..my mother would use some fresh...we had olive trees ..where hed make own olive oil..much more..etc etc.....sometimes we'd also put a bit of bits and pieces of our first quality home sundried tomatoes..omg..to die for!! Lol.😋..then we would close the bread again and press it well together..leave it to rest for bout 3..4 minutes..then cut it in good wide slices...it was how we say it in italian " una meraviglia..di un sapore anticamente delizioso e genuino)
( meaning "extraordinaringly a delightful genuine antiche taste.. .. or in Sicilian it was " na cosa rara e e ri nu sapuri genuino"..meaning " a rare thing and of a genuine taste ... I grew up loving homemade breads and pastas and sauces....etc..what is genuine Sicilian homemade foods. regarding breads..I personally love to make homemade bread like you.. this type of method rolling the dough gives the bread a soft full crumb and great texture. Thank you for sharing. ⚘️ a tiny bit of good homemade table wine with that and good quality cheese..with few homemade pickled olives...Umm Umm delizioso! 🥂 chin chin ! 🍷🍷
