- Ross learns one of his students is a secret admirer from reading the evaluations, but he’s unsure if it’s a girl or boy student. At the end of the semester, he finds out an attractive young woman his admirer and agrees to go out with her. Phoebe’s and Rachel’s apartment caught on fire. The firefighters ask them if they burn any candles or incense and Phoebe thinks she started the fire.

I've loved Friends over the decades. I noticed Ross never had the funniest lines, but he "made" them incredibly funny. Facial expressions, awkward mannerisms, dialogue delivery are incredible- all these make him a great actor.
Truth, Schwimmer was an underrated actor and physical comedian. Arguably the most talented out of the Friends bunch.

It was weird how they cut her off the show, like the first few episodes she appeared in she seemed mature and old enough for Ross and then the last episode she started acting immature all of a sudden.
Thats how most of us girls r lol
College aged girls, and guys too, are in that in between stage where they are getting into adulting and being more mature, but are also acting immature in many circumstances. Frat and sorority parties and things like having water baloon fights when you're with friends. I mean it's really the entire make up of that age. Look at the fact that most kids going off to college take on their own responsibility to got to class, no one pushing them, living on their own taking care of groceries, budgeting, etc. Maturity. Those same kids that make it to every single class and do just fine being responsible on their own, are also having crazy parties, pulling pranks acting like children.
I love Friends, but it wasn't always the best at writing out love interests - it's like when it's time to get rid of them, they develop flaws, new personality traits, or... something else all of a sudden.

Rain Man is a grown man in the movie who is a genius, but he has a disorder that makes him seem a bit slow. Chandler is basically implying that Joey is usually pretty dumb; but when it comes to girls he’s suddenly a genius.

Ross stayed on task with that one . He made sure to get the time and location for their date before reverting back to his usual self 😂 smh I don’t remember how he messed up dating his student but since he ends up being with Rachel in the finale, I’m guessing it was spectacularly hilarious .

I liked Elizabeth, even though she was clearly a temporary love interest. Still, she was only about 12 years younger than Ross, yet he got more flack for dating her than Monica did for dating Richard, who was at least 30 years her senior.
He was 21 years older. She was 27 when he was 48 in Season 2. I'm a whole person that can drink older than you.

I think the flack for Ross is totally valid 1) it might be a smaller age gap but Elizabeth wasn't even legal drinking age, she was closer to a teen than a full fledged adult, compared to Monica who started dating Richard in her mid twenties. And 2) Ross was not only old enough to know better but he totally should not crossed the teacher-student relationship line. Super unprofessional and abusing his position of authority. Hated this relationship so much it felt so inappropriate.

They really did Ross dirty with this arc. I hated this Elizabeth storyline and the episode where he tried to kiss his cousin. Ross was kinda socially awkward and put himself in bad situations constantly, but I think he would have enough common sense to avoid stuff like this.
Around season 6 to 10, they started to degraded Ross character, I mean its still funny but I cant help to feel sorry for him.
the EX student not a huge deal to me, the cousin was a joke as even the girls wanted her.

I noticed that from Seasons 1 to 4 Chandler was the butt monkey and the one who got into awkward situations.
