It was certainly a very sad thing to see Sadie waiting for you in the same spot for hours. Dogs need the human companion, and even though Sadie likes to be with the cows, she enjoys your company and loves to be with you. Maybe she feels relaxed and protected when you are there.
I felt so sad for Sadie, especially with that sad music playing. A dog's love is unconditional and Sadie still loves you. Give her a hug for me. She's just such a sweetheart! 💖

Watching those videos made my heart hurt for Sadie, baby, and my heart hurt for your heart because I know it was hurting watching that. You go out of your way to make sure everybody has equal time for you.
I had a camera on my dogs when I had to go Otr 2 times a week on Monday night and Wed. night and was sad sometimes especially when my oldest one stated having trouble. A horrible feeling of guilt😢

Humans can understand that you can’t be with everyone all the time, sometime sacrifices have to be made but seeing her waiting in that one spot for so long was hard to watch. Maybe giving her some extra love and treats on Friday will let her know you still love her and haven’t forgotten her.❤️❤️
Remember what you rescued her out if. You gave her health, love and purpose. Animals typically luve in the moment. Being an LGD, she will be totally happy when she sees you, but her confidence and purpose are unshaken. You all did that for her.

She is a guard dog. Compare that night to the usual nights I had dogs and I worked full time. They had their routine. If I had to work late they had to deal with it. They waited silently in the house, never got a complaint and I asked neighbours. They never heard a sound. We don’t like our routine upset but it happens. She will be fine. Guard dogs often sleep with one eye open anyhow. She had her friends.
My girl dog is sitting at the front door every night waiting for me to come home. She sees me at the cornet and gets up to straight and greats me at the back door. Without fail. They have the greatest clocks. Sadie loves you Lester I am sure she understands.
i dont suppose the hotel you take Lex to is dog friendly, perhaps you could take Saddie with your next thursday, so she'll know what your up to. but all animals do that. we had a half rot half pit, an when my roommate left as a truck driver, Tatter would cry all day, tear up the house. after i moved in, he'd finally settle down some, he wouldnt eat for three days. but it cant be helped when it's job or family. so sad Saddie!
You need to get Sadie another doggie friend of her OWN kind. What would you do without Jamie? Tex without Santiana? The other dogs all play with each other. You said she is a guardian with the cows. Does she have a choice? She's lonely. There's no explaining. She's needs a companion of her own. Please Lester don't break her heart. My grandma's dog use to wait by the gate till her owner would come home from the dr. Well grandma wasn't returning she passed heart attack at the doctors office. Just think about the animals that get abandoned by their master who never will come back. They stay in place for days/months faithfully waiting.......At least you ALWAYS come back to Sadie.

Awwww!!! Poor Sadie! This brought tears to my eyes. Animals must wear little hidden wristwatches. It is amazing how aware they are of what is supposed to happen and when. Jan, a friend of mine, had two sweet Jack Russell Terriers, one of whom required daily Insulin injections. The NONDIABETIC dog would remind Jan when the Insulin injection was due for her sibling. Animals are so amazing! I recently watched a video about researchers who did MRI's on dogs as they sniffed the sweat of different people. The area of their brains dedicated to scent lit up when they sniffed stranger's sweat. The areas of their brains dedicated to rewards and pleasure also strongly lit up when they sniffed their master's sweat. They really do love us! Animals are special gifts from God. Lester the security camera shots broke my heart for Sadie. They almost brought tears to my eyes because I love my babies like you and Jami love yours. I’m not mad at you, you need to spend time with your children. But it always hurts me to think one of our fur babies or any animal in our charge is sad or lonely. Sadie will still be happy to see her Daddy and probably never remember that you weren’t there exactly when she thought you should be!
She's such a good, dedicated dog! Maybe someday you'll find another Pyr to be her companion. I say Pyr because you know their work ethic and another Pyr would understand her best . I had a Pyr named Bear. 108 pounds of love and protection. He guarded our farm. Best dog ever!😊❤
Sadie needs another Great Pyrenees companion. On Thursday’s please take her back to be with the other dogs and Jaime. This made me cry… The other dogs have each other. It’s hard for a dog and cows to bond. I know you didn’t know she was going to be so sad. Still love you…
I see no need for anyone to say anything negative, you were with Lex. Like you said, Sadie’s normal routine was off that day. It was sad watching Her look down the driveway, but, you came back and She knows you are OK.
That’s so true, our little dog waits for my husband every day at the end of the hall looking at the door for him to come in. I’ve often wondered how does she know what time it is. When my husband stays overnight she’s so sad and stays there for hours before giving up. It’s pitiful. Sadie is a blessing and we know you felt that. Bet she got extra snacks when you got to the J&L
I have read it is by the smell of the person. As the smell fades they know when someone should be coming back. My dogs waited on my husband every day but when I left the house they didn’t know when I would return.

@@lindamitton8700, she prefers to be on her own, hence, she lives at the J&L Ranch. She is accustomed to having Lester visit/stay over at night. She feels she has a purpose being with the Longhorns without all the other dogs.
The hard thing about that would be trying to find another dog, like Sadie, who cares enough about protecting the other animals that they'll stay there with the cows and not run off when Lester isn't there.
Im not reading other comments, but I do feel sad for Sadie because it's impossible for her to understand why Thursday was different. But I'm not upset at you. Our dogs are our family too, but there is still a hiarchy. And Lex comes before Sadie. I think most of us have left our pets at one time or another and it wasn't the norm, and we felt guilty. To be totally honest, I have felt sad for Sadie ever since she had to leave LHL. I know you say all the time she is living her best life, but I don't see it. I see her getting hurt and y'all not being there. I honestly pray for her everyday, and I hope I'm so very wrong. But, I'm not mad at y'all for deciding to do what you did. I know you all weigh everything and try to do what's best all around. And I know you love Sadie. And because Sadie loves you all unconditiinally, she will forgive and forget. And when it happens so many times, she will learn the cycle. It would be pretty immature for someone to get upset with you over putting your son first. You fed and cared for Sadie. And you see her everyday.

I reside in low-income public housing and a little more than two years from late October 2021 to early December 2023 wouldn't imagine the worst kind of P-Pats my family and my neighbors and their families had to endure at the hands of a couple(male and female) with a baby. They were trouble from the moment they moved in until the moment they were EVICTED! The day they were served with the eviction notice is when the male had a meltdown. He was throwing things out in the hallway, slamming doors, kicking the walls, screaming. You name it. It got so bad to the point that if he didn't end his outbursts, myself and my neighbors were ready to call the police on him. The moment he and his female partner along with their baby daughter finally left for good, we all said: GOOD RIDDANCE! P-pats complain about petty issues, but most can be troublemakers. Don't worry about Sadie. Animals when they're so loved are forgiving and don't hold grudges and Sadie is no different. Plus, she had her cattle companions.
That made me cry.😢 I know how it feels. I have to leave my puppy behind just to go to the store. Or to the doctor, and it breaks my heart. But it's the human things we have to do.❤
And the fact that you would post this shows that you care more about riling things up than about the dog. Then you will get mad about the comments but you start these things. I just got back from Morgantown I go to Mary Babb cancer center for leukemia got my transplant at wvu spent 4 months there but live in Charleston wv it’s beautiful there tho

She doesn't really care for other dogs. She puts up with them for a short while, but another full-time dog, she wouldn't like. Remember at LHL, she separated herself from the other dogs most of the time.

Yep, dogs find comfort in routine. If breakfast isn’t served by at 7:00am, my dog gives me an earful at 7:01am. 🤣 And all the nights I had to work late, I wished I could call them to explain.

Thats ridiculous. People dont leave their animals at other properties where there are no other people. You leave your dog or cat in a house while at work, but people come bacl. There at no people at JL. Only a visit. And sometimes not that. And lets not forget it was done to please the neighbors. Totally different.
Dogs that are abandoned by their families do this and wait for weeks for their family to come back and get them. It’s very sad! Of course that’s not this. It’s still sad to see this! At least you saw this and will try to not cause this again. Dogs are great at bouncing back…. I am sure she will be fine. We all know how much she is loved!
Honestly Lester, the best thing you can do for that poor dog is to rehome her. You have many thousands of fans at your disposal who can help with that. You don't want her as part of your family anymore so please let her be a part of someone else's. She deserves more than the little bit of time you can give her. I know you go there every day but that is a visit, not a life. You took her off the streets once to give her a better life. Do the same for her now. You can switch the story up as much as you like but you have hours of video to disprove it. Sadie loved the goats, not the cows. She played with the other dogs, she wasn't a loner. She loved a dog bed and the couch not a hole in a barn wall. She came in when it was hot outside. Does she not deserve that anymore? Someone will do that for her if you can't anymore. She is lonely.

What is going to take for you to realize that it is not a good idea for Sadie to be take away from the only family that has been kind to her and left alone? She is surrounded by thousand-pound animals animals with huge horns, who don't want her around, who 'toss' her. I don't watch you everyday like I used to. It is very hard for me to understand what you are doing. Jami can't check on her while you have your Lex day? She is better off with a family that actually wants her to be part of their family.

Awwww!!! Poor Sadie! This brought tears to my eyes. Animals must wear little hidden wristwatches. It is amazing how aware they are of what is supposed to happen and when. Jan, a friend of mine, had two sweet Jack Russell Terriers, one of whom required daily Insulin injections. The NONDIABETIC dog would remind Jan when the Insulin injection was due for her sibling. Animals are so amazing! I recently watched a video about researchers who did MRI's on dogs as they sniffed the sweat of different people. The area of their brains dedicated to scent lit up when they sniffed stranger's sweat. The areas of their brains dedicated to rewards and pleasure also strongly lit up when they sniffed their master's sweat. They really do love us! Animals are special gifts from God. Lester the security camera shots broke my heart for Sadie. They almost brought tears to my eyes because I love my babies like you and Jami love yours. I’m not mad at you, you need to spend time with your children. But it always hurts me to think one of our fur babies or any animal in our charge is sad or lonely. Sadie will still be happy to see her Daddy and probably never remember that you weren’t there exactly when she thought you should be!

She's such a good, dedicated dog! Maybe someday you'll find another Pyr to be her companion. I say Pyr because you know their work ethic and another Pyr would understand her best . I had a Pyr named Bear. 108 pounds of love and protection. He guarded our farm. Best dog ever!😊❤

I see no need for anyone to say anything negative, you were with Lex. Like you said, Sadie’s normal routine was off that day. It was sad watching Her look down the driveway, but, you came back and She knows you are OK.
That’s so true, our little dog waits for my husband every day at the end of the hall looking at the door for him to come in. I’ve often wondered how does she know what time it is. When my husband stays overnight she’s so sad and stays there for hours before giving up. It’s pitiful.

I have read it is by the smell of the person. As the smell fades they know when someone should be coming back. My dogs waited on my husband every day but when I left the house they didn’t know when I would return.
I don’t think the smell thing is why Sadie waits though. Maybe the sun?

Im not reading other comments, but I do feel sad for Sadie because it's impossible for her to understand why Thursday was different. But I'm not upset at you. Our dogs are our family too, but there is still a hiarchy. And Lex comes before Sadie. I think most of us have left our pets at one time or another and it wasn't the norm, and we felt guilty.
To be totally honest, I have felt sad for Sadie ever since she had to leave LHL. I know you say all the time she is living her best life, but I don't see it. I see her getting hurt and y'all not being there. I honestly pray for her everyday, and I hope I'm so very wrong.
But, I'm not mad at y'all for deciding to do what you did. I know you all weigh everything and try to do what's best all around. And I know you love Sadie.
And because Sadie loves you all unconditiinally, she will forgive and forget. And when it happens so many times, she will learn the cycle.

I reside in low-income public housing and a little more than two years from late October 2021 to early December 2023 wouldn't imagine the worst kind of P-Pats my family and my neighbors and their families had to endure at the hands of a couple(male and female) with a baby. They were trouble from the moment they moved in until the moment they were EVICTED! The day they were served with the eviction notice is when the male had a meltdown. He was throwing things out in the hallway, slamming doors, kicking the walls, screaming. You name it. It got so bad to the point that if he didn't end his outbursts, myself and my neighbors were ready to call the police on him. The moment he and his female partner along with their baby daughter finally left for good, we all said: GOOD RIDDANCE! P-pats complain about petty issues, but most can be troublemakers. Don't worry about Sadie. Animals when they're so loved are forgiving and don't hold grudges and Sadie is no different. Plus, she had her cattle companions.

She doesn't really care for other dogs. She puts up with them for a short while, but another full-time dog, she wouldn't like. Remember at LHL, she separated herself from the other dogs most of the time.

Yep, dogs find comfort in routine. If breakfast isn’t served by at 7:00am, my dog gives me an earful at 7:01am. 🤣 And all the nights I had to work late, I wished I could call them to explain.

Thats ridiculous. People dont leave their animals at other properties where there are no other people. You leave your dog or cat in a house while at work, but people come bacl. There at no people at JL. Only a visit. And sometimes not that. And lets not forget it was done to please the neighbors. Totally different.

Honestly Lester, the best thing you can do for that poor dog is to rehome her. You have many thousands of fans at your disposal who can help with that. You don't want her as part of your family anymore so please let her be a part of someone else's. She deserves more than the little bit of time you can give her. I know you go there every day but that is a visit, not a life. You took her off the streets once to give her a better life. Do the same for her now. You can switch the story up as much as you like but you have hours of video to disprove it. Sadie loved the goats, not the cows. She played with the other dogs, she wasn't a loner. What is going to take for you to realize that it is not a good idea for Sadie to be take away from the only family that has been kind to her and left alone? She is surrounded by thousand-pound animals animals with huge horns, who don't want her around, who 'toss' her. I don't watch you everyday like I used to. It is very hard for me to understand what you are doing. Jami can't check on her while you have your Lex day? She is better off with a family that actually wants her to be part of their family.
