@@DeondraLavonplaying with it now! At first i was confused about the numbers on the far left and then looked at my boom and was like duh its the questions 😂
Hey! Yes it’s only offered in April and October. On the Nbcc site it says if a candidate fails the exam, they must wait 30 days to retake it & you can’t retest more than once within the same certification exam cycle. If you’re taking the exam as part of the NCC application then you have max 3 times to take it within 2 years. If you fail the 3rd time, you’ll have to re-submit your NCC application. Hope this helps!
Thank you so much! Yes this is very helpful! I would like to pass the test on the first try! That would be awesome! I haven’t taken the NCE at all and have been procrastinating for a couple of years now, but I want to study as much as I can now, so I can take the test and get it over with. What do I have to do to sign up to take the NCE in October? Is it a long process to sign up ?
I def understand!! Im sure you’re going to do great. & I’m glad you found it helpful! The process to sign up was fairly easy. I can do a video about it next 💖
@@DeondraLavon thank you for your positive words! I pray I will pass the first time and do great! 🙂yes please do a video on how to go about signing up to take the exam! Also, for us to start working towards our 3000 clinical hours do we have to have taken the NCE and have a plpc license before we can even start getting those hours, or are we able to have a job in the counseling field working clients with just our masters degree and still work towards those 3000 hours as long as we have a supervisor?
@andreabailey8206 you’re welcome!! & it might depend on your state but in the state I live in, once we get our associate license we can start accruing the 3000 hours. The NCE just has to be passed before we can apply for the independent license. I took my exam while I was still in school but I didn’t have to. I just wanted to get it out of the way lol
Got a 106 on mometrix the day before and still didnt pass the CPCE 1st try. I paid for all of the stuff too. Listened to rosenthal bootcamp audible and book
@@HeavenLee1 I live in Missouri and had to take the cpce in order to graduate and I passed the first time, but I’ve also wondered how different are the questions on the NCE versus the cpce..I studied for the cpce from the purple book as well as the rosenthal cds..but I have been anxious about this NCE for licensing..

"But we're not gonna panic!" lol

Totally going to try and recreate the excel idea! I love that - I just scheduled for June 29th so I still have a bit @@DeondraLavon
Def try it out! It worked well for me. You have plenty of time to get through everything 🤗
@@DeondraLavonplaying with it now! At first i was confused about the numbers on the far left and then looked at my boom and was like duh its the questions 😂
lol ohhh, yea they’re the question numbers. Sorry!! 😂
Do you have the Excel doc template available for us to use? :)
Just added one to my description box! ☺️
@@DeondraLavonthank you!!
You’re welcome!!
I have a book from 2019, not sure when it was published, but I’m wondering if this book is updated and if so how often?
That’s probably the current one. Is it the 4th edition?
How many months to study recommended?
I would say at least 3-4 months!
A lot of people also recommended the "Orange Book" - did you use that one?
Hey! I didn’t use that one but I have heard of it!
I’m not sure if this is still available or not, but I was trying to access your study schedule but for some reason nothing showed up.
Hey! Were you able to get it? It should’ve opened up to a visme form.
@ no nothing came up
Hmm I just re-uploaded the excel sheet. Try it now!
@ it worked! Thank you!
Perfect!! You’re welcome 🥰
Hi- is GCU CACREP certified
They’re in the process. Hopefully they will be really soon 🤞🏽
Is the NCE really only offered in April and October? Or are we able to take the nce during any month and unlimited times?

Aw I’m sorry to hear that. I’ve never taken the CPCE before. I wonder how it compares to the NCE.
@@DeondraLavon ive heard you use the same materials but the NCE has more straight forward questions
That makes sense. At least now you know how the questions are so it should be a little easier next time!
