It is symbolic and therefore part of his manifestation of his magical powers.. of his "web of lies" continuing to work as they have in the past, of his "superpowers" continuing to work over others including power of life itself over Mica. It's similar to a "lucky charm". Beyond that, wearing it around town is also a way of covertly narcissistically confessing to what he did (his magic/powers/web of lies worked), without him having to admit guilt. It gives him a high instead of having to face the guilt and shame of what a monster he knows deep down he is and how many people are catching onto him and investigating him. I've studied Vulnerable Narcissists and Malignant Narcissists in great depth, and all Cluster B personality disorders, and what I've described is the pathology that all of these narcissists (NPD) have in common, but show in different ways. Some also have co-morbid traits that make them more obvious, including high co-morbidity with Bi-polar (Manic Depressive Disorder). JP is also Bi-polar, and they have manic and depressive episodes which most learn how to disguise/manage somehow so that they aren't so obvious to others as crazy and unhinged. Wearing this costume out could be part of an effort to disguise his mania. His wild excursions with prostitutes are probably during mania, and when he was recorded struggling on the grass was a major depressive episode, and he was prescribed lithium for his condition. Funny story, they were customers of mine and I actually made that necklace. I also swapped her engagement ring diamond with a lab created diamond.
